We engaged Cindy because our experience with her on our first meetup (at Qanvast's hangout event) left a good impression on us. The most important criteria for us is that our ID needs to be on the same frequency as us when it comes to ideas for our home and Cindy definitely fits the bill. She is open-minded and willing to listen to our ideas while giving her input on how we can best make them work. This is different from some other IDs we met who will quickly shoot some of our ideas down. We like that she will do her best to incorporate feasibility into our ideas. Another trait that we like about Cindy is that she is always willing to communicate and emphasises on working together as a team. This translates to her being responsive and is always willing to address our concerns. Additionally, her experience in the industry allowed her to plan our renovation schedule close to perfection and she always updates us with the progress. Occasionally, we challenged her with both big and small requests and she was able to handle them well and addressed them thoroughly. We understand that IDs can be handling multiple projects at a time, but it is when they are able to customize and remember each client's detailed wants and need that will make them stand out. In order to achieve this, the amount of effort Cindy had put in is commendable! Overall, we are satisfied with our renovation results and the service and workmanship quality is good! We met Jerie from the Hitcheed ID event. What made us choose Jerie was her professionalism and the ability for her to meet our budgets. She understood our request for functional and a practical home, making sure we spend our money where it is worth. Jerie is also willing to let us see her current projects to look at the workmanship before signing the contract. My wife and I are young parents with a 1 year old. Having an ID with great project management skills and close follow ups is one of our key ask. Although this is not something you can know during contract signing, this is definitely Jerie's top trait. Throughout the renovation journey, she kept us informed and updated about the progress and she managed to get everything done within 2 months plus, which is better than we expected. We do not once need to remind her of deadlines or repeat our requests. As with all renovation journeys, there are some hiccups (really minor in our case), but Jerie remains honest and professional and deals with the matter swiftly and transparently. As a first time homeowner, buying and renovating a house was a very daunting task being the biggest purchase thus far in my life. Renovation was 1 aspect I was exceptionally concerned about after hearing horror stories from friends & loved ones about how bad renovations can go with reno works not being completed on time resulting in a delay of move-in date, subpar work with a lots of defects and misalignments or even worse when ID was not contactable for an extended period of time. This prompted me to do a lot of homework when it came time to finding the best ID for my home, I reached out to 21 different companies (thru Qanvest, friends, family and even online recommendations) to find an ID that would be reliable, responsible and trustworthy. Jason Koh was such an ID for me, I was always able to get in touch with him in a timely manner, he was able to understand my needs and expectations of the home I wanted to have, and he always gave his assurance for his work, and brought me to his ongoing projects to review the work he has done for the house. During the renovation period, Jason was very transparent and would have updates on what works would be going on at the house, and what the next steps would be. He would give his views and share his experience when we went shopping for tiles, vinyl, toilet accessories, house fittings etc. which was very beneficial in the decision making process. He would also be the anchor of the project for the overall look of the house - you might get carried away with the multitude of selections when looking at accessories that might not be a good fit to the house’s theme and overall look or even cost. One of Jason’s greatest strengths is that he would never tell me any of my ideas was not possible. He always listens and tries to find a way to give me what I wanted and even improved upon that idea. Unless the idea was too expensive or not physically possible, he would do his best to explain the rationale behind it or provide an alternative solution that is in line with that initial idea. And as with any project, there are always bound to be unforeseen problems along the way, Jason was able to advise and share elegant solutions for those problems. It has been 3 months since moving into my new home and any imperfections found were quickly rectified around my availability schedule. Jason has given his assurance that it is everything I envisioned and more! As someone who has very high expectations on workmanship and meticulous to small details, Jason was able to meet and surpass all my expectations. Our IDs Alvin & Jing Yi made our dream home come to life! 😍😍😍 We've heard of so many horror renovation stories that we started our search for THE ONE 2 years before key collection (covid delayed our key collection 😢) We chanced upon Yang's Interior at the Qanvast event & met with Alvin who was very straight forward and clear on the pros and cons of doing certain things we want. His opinions are valued because it brought us back to reality and practicality! We basically hit it off like we were long time friends haha this rapport was really important to us! We stayed in touch & went to look for more ID firms last year but couldn't find someone suitable. The people we met were nice! It just didn't feel suitable/right for us. It was then I remembered that we had a great chat with Alvin & we contacted him to find out more. Got to know Cindy through an Interior Design Meet & Greet Session and she stood out among the other IDs due to her patience and knowledge. My Fiancee and I eventually choose her to renovate our house even though we already had another ID and paid the deposit as the other ID was too inexperienced and his design sense couldn't be compared to Cindy. Jason also joined in the Renovation and overall it was a very pleasant experience working with these 2 IDs. As my Fiancee and I wanted a very nice house but weren't sure exactly what theme and layout to go for, Cindy and Jason went through multiple sessions with us patiently before the 2d and 3d designs were finalized. I was truly impressed by their extensive knowledge in the field of interior design as they came up with ideas that I would never have thought of. Their ability to blend style and functionality, while staying updated with the latest trends and materials, made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. We first meet Ray at a renovation roadshow and feel very comfortable speaking to her. Initially we were there for other well known renovation companies but she is one of the few who left a good impression on us. Ray gave us a lot of valuable inputs on how we should plan the space for our newly bought old resale flat even before our decision to engage Yangs. There’s a lot of horror stories circulating online regarding IDs not doing a good job, many issues during the Reno journey or can’t meet the timeline given to them. But we don’t have such problems with Ray at all. She’s very pro active in giving us timely updates and very consistent at it. She also managed to meet our tight timeline which we don’t have much room for negotiation. There is absolutely no need to micro manage our ID which we are very thankful for. Ray makes sure that every small detail is taken care of and when we can’t decide on the aesthetics or practicality of the design, she’s there to guide us patiently. Even after we moved in and there’s some small issues with the house, she is very quick to respond to our call for help and get things fixed / touched up very fast until we are quite shocked at her efficiency. Besides the competency of our ID, overall Yangs prices is the best among all the reno companies that we have approached and it’s for the same scope of work. We are glad that we have chosen Yangs and cross path with Ray. When we brought upon our idea of our home to be designed the way we envisioned it, no doubt in mind that Jerie understood what was the end goal and after seeing the final product, we were more than ecstatic be living in it. After having a distasteful experience with my previous house's renovation process, my selection process of IDs was extremely stringent. Jason Koh our trusted ID, emerged as the winner of our hearts over 4 other ID prospects after 2 rounds of consultation when he exuded his sincerity, creativity, professnalism and importantly his attentive listening ear to our ideas, thereafter exempified with very clear understanding to our living standards. With no specific themes in mind and as someone who's extremely meticulous in details and have high expectations on unique designs that meet our living style at home, Jason was able to work with my husband and I thoroughly through every single layout of the fixtures and carpentry we envisioned for our house across multiple 3D artworks, achieving the details to perfection before each area could start getting built up. We also appreciate Jason's transparency and constant updates on the renovation progress when he often connected with us even till very late at nights, to ensure he answered to all our questions and gave us the assurance that things are in order. A lot of the unique carpentry builds that we envisioned are not easily achievable because materials or moulds are not readily available in the market and had to be fully customized and made from scratch, such as our study, 90-degree 2-way door, my dressing table with inbuilt mirror, and our curved tv feature wall. I would like to make special mention to all of the contractors and electricians engaged who provided very delicate and exquisite craftsmanship, and post move-in finer touches and adjustments. However, I would strongly recommend detail-oriented home owners to be present during the major and complex installation works so that you will be able to provide the necessary guidance, valuable inputs or specific instructions to achieve a higher level of efficiency and better productivity output. Friends and family across several housewarming parties have exclaimed on the beautiful layout and how it produces a classy yet cosy boutique hotel ambience. Even our condo management staff proclaimed that our unit has the best design out of all the units they've seen in the entire property. After consulting with 3 different ID prospects, Cindy was the clear standout choice as she was the only one who showed sincerity and creativity during the consultation. Her recommendations were unique and practical and most of all showed understanding of our requirements. It was unlike the template designs offered by other firms. Quotation was specific and encompassing although it is recommended to do your own homework as well to relay specific material or layout requirements in order to provide for a more accurate quotation. Throughout the entire process, communication was timely and effective. Deliverable milestones were achieved according to schedule and in some instances even earlier than expected. Regular updates were provided along the way. 3D designs rendered were of quality and amendments were made promptly. Sub cons hired delivered service and workmanship of creditable quality. I would especially like to commend their in house electrician for their services in re-wiring the entire unit. I would however recommend clients to be present upon commencement of major works to provide more accurate guidance to particular personal requests. It can be difficult to communicate specific tile pattern layouts or wiring/plumbing layout for example without being onsite for discussion. We engaged Cindy from Yang’s inspiration design as our ID. After our first meeting with her, we felt that we can vibe with her and she remained as one of our top choices. Before we confirmed her as our ID, she was also very sincere and helpful to address our issues and concerns that we have. We would say that our renovation journey was a very smooth one. Cindy was very approachable and helpful throughout, and we can tell and talk to her about anything. We didn’t have to worry much about anything as we can totally trust and rely on her. We had a good experience with our ID, Cindy! From the start when we engaged her service, she was friendly and patient. Based on the ideas we gave to her, she will advise what works the best, without being pushy. Once the renovation started, she constantly kept us updated on the progress. Once a contractor has completed a specific area in the house, she will always provide us with photos and/or videos. Whenever decisions need to be made, she will inform us immediately. We don't really have the need to keep going down physically to do spot checks. Even though CNY will affect our reno timeline, Cindy managed to work out the details properly and even managed to help us expedite the reno. Towards the end, she even reminded us to arrange for Internet service and other stuffs that don't fall under her jobscope. We found Yangs Inspiration Design by chance as a recommendation through Renonation and they have never disappointed us through our home renovation journey from our first meeting to post-renovation support. You will never be disappointed with getting YID and Jason Koh to handle your home renovation. Listing a few qualities that I really appreciated from Jason Koh throughout our renovation. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 | Jason reassured us from the first meeting with him that he will always respond to our messages and that it might take some time to respond as he is always managing multiple projects at the same time. He also never fails to keep us updated on the renovation progress, dates for milestones (electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, etc.), and renovation adjustments required when issues surface. 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 | We met up with a few IDs but Jason and YID were the ones who really understood the design direction that we were going for. We found out about Yang's Inspiration Design through Hitcheed. We have sourced through 10 different IDs before landing on Yang's. Our initial ID was CK. After evaluating, we felt CK was easy to communicate with and he will be able to accommodate to our project best. However the project is later handover to his mentor Jerie due to personal reasons. After meeting up with Jerie, we decided to continue to give it a shot. Jerie is very experienced and she was able to handle our requests. She will also suggest ideas and designs to us. The final quality of carpentry was great. There were minor hiccups along the way, but she is very quick in rectifying any issues that arose. Jerie held high standards on her workmanship. The overall work was done within 3 months albeit CNY off period. As we have no hurry for completion, she was still able to deliver the project ahead of time. The price is really competitive. My house is recently completed under Yang’s ID recommended by a friend. Ivan Yang himself was the ID who is humble and down to earth who initiated Reno conversations with me and later the works is liaised and coordinated by Will Ho, a project manager. Both Ivan and Will are very patient and efficient. I didn’t need to repeat myself many times as they understood the concept I was going for. They suggested insightful proposals and addressed all questions I have with good knowledge and efficiency! I feel blessed to have both of them being very customer-oriented to meet the timeline set and good after-service as well. Working with Yang’s inspiration and Cindy was a good experience! Cindy was able to cater to our budget without any pressure to upsell and she was transparent with the pricing. She also provided us with fresh ideas and gave us good suggestions (important for us as we are clueless first-time owners). Apart from the designing and material selection stage, we left the renovation works entirely up to Cindy to manage and she was prompt in keeping track with the progress. This is our first time doing renovations, engaging an ID and to be fair, we had minimal knowledge on renovations and on the areas to keep a lookout for during the planning and renovation stage despite doing our fair share of research. We met a few IDs and eventually decided on Yang’s not because of the pricing but because of our ID Cindy. Cindy is straightforward, practical and she listens to our needs, helping us keep an eye on details to ensure we covered what we needed. Back at the shortlisting stage, we were also worried of working with IDs that may be pushy or irresponsible but Cindy is definitely not! Throughout the process, Cindy is very helpful, providing us with information and perspectives. She gave us the needed time to ponder on possibilities and provided suggestions to better the entire project. Cindy is also highly responsible :) She handled and managed the project well and comms were done timely and efficiently such that we had little to worry about. We was running around to ask for renovation quotes and renovation ideas, and I decided to let Yang Inspiration handle my first BTO house renovation and Mr Alvin was the market best. He was very professional, prompt & fast. From concept discussions to material selection and, had my whole renovation completed before 4weeks due to my sudden getting of my BTO unit key and selling my old house. We engaged Ivy Ho from Yang's Inspiration for our BTO. After speaking to two other IDs, we decided that she is better suited to our needs on our renovation journey as first-time homeowners. She is very helpful in our numerous questions and demands, and also on recommending certain brands of household items to purchase and avoid. As we were not in a rush for the renovation, we were able to plan the renovation timeline in a manner that works best for both sides. The most important thing though, was that the quotation for our renovation is very affordable, and looking at the end-product is definitely worth the money! Part of the reason we understand is that they do their own carpentry in-house in Malaysia, hence able to keep their cost low and pass on the savings to us. We have left most of the design and decision to Ivy as she was able to envision the design plan from our conversations. She has great sense of aesthetics and the color scheme and carpentry design she picked fits nicely to our home theme. Engaged Jerie Yong as our Interior Designer. We liked working with her as she was easy to communicate with and got the job done quickly. She gave her personal inputs and opinions as an ID to us. When there was an issue/defect, she helped to rectify it immediately even after handover. The after service was important. Not all renovations will be 100%. There will be minor defects. But with Yang’s we felt that there were minimal defects with the finishing and paintings as compared to our houses we have seen.
