I had an appointment on Friday. I had booked it online. When I went to book it, the page took me to login then it took me to my last service booked and asked if I would like to book the same service, I clicked yes without thinking much about it. When I arrived and explained to the stylist what I'd like she informed me I had booked the wrong service as I had extensions in now so needed to be charged for long hair not medium...no worries, I was happy to pay the difference. She mentioned she was in a rush and would get it done as quick as possible. To my amazement she got a full head of curls done in about 25mins. She showed me with a mirror from the back and at a quick glace it looked great. I proceeded to pay, another $59 on top of the original price, which actually then ended up being around $110 altogether. I went straight to my makeup appt at a different location where the girl doing my makeup said have you looked at the sides? My extensions were clearly visible. Right after my makeup was complete I messaged Dry & Tea on Facebook and asked if they minded me coming back quickly just to tidy it up with a few bobby pins....no response. I walked back over (around 5pm) to the shop and the door were locked, even though they close at 6pm. I could see on FB they had read my messages but no response. Three days later...no response still. Also I never got my tea, isn't that half the point of Dry & Tea? You receive a yummy tea to enjoy during your service. I'm really gutted as when this place first opened a few years ago I had a couple of wonderful experiences. Looks like the staffing may have changed. Me and my sister went here in April for make up and hair for a wedding,the lady who did make up was terrible,she put a very dark foundation toy sister not even her skin colour,she said to re do it ,it was sooo ugly,she did but she didn’t know how to fix it,,we can see she don’t have experience and her hands were shivering when make up,didn’t even know how to do eye makeup,I can see just one colour,she did my makeup as well n same result, I recorded when she do my makeup ,I can see she use wet tissue to remove my eye makeup few times ,the girl who did hair was okay but she was soo hurry to do it,that was not good for anyone ,we had a bad experience ,never recommend for anyone,but I want to say if u have fair skin may be they will do not sure,we have tan skin colour so she didn’t know how match colours for our skin,this place is not worth for money😐new market shop

This is now the fourth time you have screwed this up. I have yet again ordered shoes from you that clearly state they are in AU sizes but when they arrive they are in the same size US. I ordered two pairs of Polo Ralph Lauren shoes both in size 10 AU expecting to receive 11 US but you have yet again sent them in 10 US. Seriously why can’t you get this most simple of tasks right? My order number is 80026388 and as you can clearly see, they were both ordered as size 10 AU. I don’t have the time to screw around with this once again and continually have to waste my time and energy fixing your mistakes!!! As a regular online customer, I get emails from David Jones. They sell their Pique Polos in 14 colours and in 7 sizes. They constantly offer one unpopular couloir in a single unpopular size at a large discount so that they can advertise Pique Polos at “from $10” when, from my investigation, other sizes and colours are on sale at the normal price of $49. 95 This is probably legal but seems misleading. There is only one reason that David Jones would do this and it’s not to assist their customers! Today, they are advertising their Pique Polos at “from &10” but have none available at that price. I used their online chat to complain and was told that they were doing nothing wrong and there was nothing that they could do and promptly ended the chat. I ordered two pairs of men’s dress shoes for my wedding, I received a email saying my order couldn’t be fulfilled, so I rang because the email didn’t specify if it was one pair or both pairs that were canceled, turns out it was only one pair, so I said just cancel my order because I need two pairs not one, oh we can’t cancel your order you have to wait till you receive the shoes and then return them, but my order hasn’t even been dispatched yet so cancel it save all the mucking around, nope they can’t do that, currently waiting for a supervisor to call me back but I doubt I’ll here anything, a absolute joke of a service, will never shop here again, not willing to help the customer when you allow a order to be placed because your website says it was in stock

We had the absolute privilege of having Jarrod from MIX IT DJ at our wedding. From guests arriving through to the last song 8 hours later the music and audio (ceremony / speeches) was perfect. Jarrod took the time to understand our music tastes and how we wanted the music to change throughout the day and incorporated that with a few wedding classics; the dance floor was always full and everyone loved it. The more critical songs such as aisle, reception entry and first dance were handled well with Jarrod cutting and looping songs as required to make everything look extra smooth. I just want to say a HUGE thank you for such an incredible DJ we had on our wedding day. ( Zach was his name) he did an awesome job! The timing of my maid of honours pre recorded speech was spot on and all the music for the entrance and first dance song was perfect! He had everyone on the dance floor from start to finish. Really disappointed with my wedding flowers, communication was difficult after I had booked and paid for Chloe to do my flowers as I wanted to add more flowers but ended up not doing this because I couldn’t get reply’s. When the flowers showed up while the flowers Chloe used were beautiful they were old, my mum picked the flowers up at 9:30am and put them immediately in water and noted some of the flowers were already browning and wilting when they got to me at 10am they were indeed brown and wilting and they were falling apart during the ceremony. Also the ribbon used was red and lots it’s colouring when wet and stained my dress red. Would not recommend. More...

Do not use the David Jones Gift Registry. It is not fit for purpose. All of our wedding gifts arrived unwrapped, no cards (so no idea who sent the gift). Just a product slapped in a box with the price still on. Despite clearing marking that we wanted all products gift wrapped. There are so many great gift registries available this isn’t one of them. Don’t make the same mistake we have and ruin what is meant to be special experience. Worse than the experience itself is the non existent follow up and communication for the David Jones management team. Despite raising the concerns, our gifts continued to arrive as pictured. We to purchase a men’s polo shirt in store but they didn’t have the size. They said no problem we can order it online as there is stock. After 4 attempts through the system for them to place the order we get a email confirmation. Then 30 minutes later an email saying sorry the item is out of stock. Someone has to call and it will take 3 to 5 days for a refund. All just poor customer service as the systems are hopeless. Too many barriers for purchase and now hassles with a refund. More...

Customer Service is good on DJ Products that are not Recently discovered my favourite DJ Brand Polo Shirts had developed a disturbing pattern of holi-ness. Further investigation showed that the manufacturing process included back-stiching the David Jones Label onto the material without any interfacing. This meant that a hole developed on the middle of the shirt! A quick e-mail with some pictures and the online order numbers resulted in a refund on the most recently purchased shirts but not on the 4 mth older ones. Indooroopilly location. Incredibly discriminatory. I, a young woman with many visible tattoos and vaguely alternative clothing style, was stared down and followed throughout the store by an older woman employee (by the designer purses and jewelry). She never asked if I needed help, just followed as if I was about to steal something. I attempted to make conversation with her at some point to maybe ease her tension, but she just mumbled and snarled until I left. Discrimination because she followed me but not the other woman my age with no visible tattoos and mainstream attire looking at the same price point of items as I was. I walked into the Pacific Fair store at 4:57 PM today to collect a Marc Jacobs bag that was repaired, only to be confronted by ‘Sandra’ who snorted ‘WE’RE CLOSED, ARE YOU MAKING YOUR WAY TO THE CAR PARK! !?’ What a joke. Who speaks to well paying customers like that? I know! Someone who has absolutely no idea about customer service. I fired straight back at Sandra, pointed out the time and called her out on her revolting attitude. Well it only got better - Sandra then proceeded to lie and state that she said ‘We’re closing’ not ‘WE’RE CLOSED’. Then, the so-called security manager Kate refused to apologise and would not advise me of Sandra’s name until I confronted her about refusing to do so. As I said to Kate, how about this for an appropriate approach ‘Hi, we’re closing, what can I do to help you so that we can all get out on time’. Clearly David Jones fail to train their employees on how to look after good money coming in the door. Oh well, I guess this good money will go elsewhere next time. Purchased some Bluetooth speakers online - turns out the Bluetooth only works with wifi but only figured that out after spending days trying to connect them. I’m now trying to return them and what a nightmare- no reply to the email I sent customer service, they wouldn’t let me return in store when I made a special trip there so I rang customer service from David Jones store and while I am on hold I can hear the clerk who was serving me having a whinge to another staff member. Customer Service didn’t have an answer or solution for me either. I am entitled to return them but David Jones is making it very difficult. Will not be making any future purchases from here! More...

Mix It DJ did a fantastic job at our wedding! We gave them limited direction in terms of what we wanted, and they nailed it! I purchased 2 pillows Dentons MEDI $77.96 on the 02/01 I used 2 DJ gift cards $50 and $100 from MacArthur square Unfortunately both pillows were “Faulty” with a very stinky and Rotten smell I went to the store today , I am fully aware that “pillows can’t be returned” I tried to explain to the lady at the register . . who said “ have you aired the pillows as it been in the bag?” I said I usually change my pillows every year I never aired it !! They called the manager who wasn’t friendly . I asked her to smell the pillows But as soon as she smelled the pillows .. she said yes they are faulty .. the refund was complete ..I asked if I can have two gift vouchers $50 and $100 , the manager was rude said “ no “ The manager asked if I want to purchase other pillows I was very hesitant.. then I asked I have to smell it !! Which I never done it .The manger wasn’t happy But as soon as I smelled the pillow .. it was the same .. I asked the manager to smell it too .. then the manager said “ they are faulty “ and asked the staff to take them off the shelves I am very disappointed, I have platinum DJ card , I am a regular customer to David Jones I had a bad experience using these pillows.. I love creating beautiful things, and things that people love. What's more beautiful than a wedding day, with two people in love, and vowing to love each other for the rest of their lives?

My first wedding was December 2017 for my best friend's brother's wedding. I was interested in videography so they decided to give me a chance to record their beautiful day. It was that day that I realised I really love filming weddings, so I started my own business.

I'm extremely passionate, hard-working, and give a lot of care and effort into every single one of my videos. Each are very special to me. I have a warm, happy, and low key style that I think is the best style to have on a crazy busy day like your wedding day.

I can video edit remotely and can travel to remote destinations to film.

Because of the coronavirus situation, I'd like to note that we are completely empathetic with what is going on, and will change dates free of charge (only in relation to COVID), and if you do cancel because of COVID and we cannot film on your new date we will refund your entire deposit.
