I was suffering from anxiety and chronic over thinking.
Over the last few months Chris, has helped me emensley with this.
I am amazed about how much better I feel compared to when we first began our sessions .
He had guided me and given me tools to living more of a heart centered life, rather than being imprisoned by my thoughts.
I am extremely grateful for his paitence, persistence and understanding ways.
I would absolutely recommend Chris very highly.

For those seeking deeper healing from anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, fatigue, ongoing health issues (and more)–I offer energy healing and a holistic/somatic approach to counselling that will allow you to feel held, seen, and be intuitively guided through a healing process–into deeper insights and freedom from past trauma, limiting beliefs, and negative patterns–towards greater clarity, balance, joy, and peace.

– Pain, Trauma, and Disconnection. –
We all have a tendency to push away painful and uncomfortable feelings. These feelings can become stuck and unresolved contributing to stress, anxiety, depression, worry, confusion, and fuel limiting and unhealthy thoughts–beliefs–patterns.

It’s important to acknowledge that mental health is bigger and more complex than the individual–we are all connected. Factors such as–environmental, cultural, social, family and multigenerational trauma all have a part to play.

Furthermore, mental health issues like anxiety and depression, are often treated as diseases. In my experience, anxiety, depression, and more–stem from varying degrees of trauma and stress that cause disconnection from our body, feelings, and essential Self. When struggling within ourselves, we all deserve support toward reconnection, recovery, and wholeness.

– The Body/Mind Approach–Reconnection Towards Recovery. –
My core focus is to help others recover their authentic and essential Self to live a happier, healthier, purpose-driven, and heart-centred life.

My approach works with the whole person to realign heart and mind–body and soul. Being supported to access our conscious and subconscious body/mind connection uncovers insights into our past and present, and deepens our emotional awareness into coping patterns that formed (often from a young age) around our trauma, core wounds, and social conditioning.

These cooping patterns serve us to a point. Working to keep us safe, preserve our attachment relationships, and have been based on perceptions strongly influenced by our pain and trauma. I guide my clients into experiencing these patterns through their mind, body, nervous system, emotions, and energy to help clarify why and how they disconnect and the choices in front of them to recover their authentic Self.

– How I Work. –
I work as a counsellor, somatic trauma therapist, healer, professional supervisor, and facilitator. My role is to create the right conditions for healing to happen–significant healing can not happen without being held with gentleness, deep compassion, and the energy of love.

Helping my clients find the courage, trust, and strength to dive deep into themselves is essential. Deep healing requires Shadow Work–bravely and compassionately opening to one’s core wounds, traumas, and negative thoughts/patterns that crush self-belief, self-worth, self-love and acceptance, and more. I am with you every step of the way–feeling what you feel–helping you hold your heart open with what can be confusing, overwhelming, scary or painful.

I hold space, listen deeply, and facilitate a natural healing process that allows your heart to lead and your inner wisdom to shine through. A process that gives you a choice and the potential to experience greater connection, insight, release, healing, and freedom.

I will empower you with tools and practices to help cultivate deeper emotional awareness and maintain a conscious body/mind connection. A commitment to this focus helps momentum between sessions.

– Modalities. Who I Work With. Costs. –
I am accredited in Intuitive Counselling (body/mind focused modality) and One Spirit Energy Healing (IICT-NZ). I integrate intuitive compassionate counselling with energy healing and somatic trauma therapy. I have experience supporting anxiety, depression, anger, addiction, grief and loss, trauma/abuse, ADHD, BDP, bipolar, autoimmune disorders, relationship issues, family life/parenting issues, and more. Young and old, with different backgrounds, and beliefs–I have worked with a wide cross-section of society. Some of my work is subsidised through Work and Income NZ, and through a national programme where different organisations/ businesses fund support for their staff and families.

Sessions run for 60 mins at a cost of $132 (incl GST). I offer sessions in person and by phone or video call.

My Approach:
Some coaching or therapeutic approaches rely heavily on using tools and practicing in an external sense that are promised to FIX your problems. For me, the deeper personal work is not about FIXING – it’s about knowing how to RESPOND to stress and pressure, anxiety and overwhelm, relationship issues and loneliness – and the more you practice using the tools and pausing to reconnect, the faster you start RESPONDING – this is what really makes the difference! Some issues will need to be addressed and fixed. These tend to be the practical stuff and I can help you to identify these or offer new ideas on how to do so (I have a lot of practical experience supporting family, and running a household and business).

With all that you are struggling with you are probably being very hard on yourself in different ways – learning how to and practicing being kinder to yourself is also very important – without that it is impossible to turn negative patterns around.

All sounds straightforward right! But no, of course it is easier said than done – this is where coaching comes in …

I will hold a presence and guide you into using tools and practices that will allow you to soften, ground and reconnect back into self – enabling you to feel like you have space to breathe again, start to realise your deeper needs, access your own answers, and see a way forward.

A lot of us Dad’s running businesses or being self employed tend to get very bogged down by our do-to-list. This can have us running in circles or jumping between tasks which is exhausting.

My Background and Experience:
Born in Christchurch I am in my mid 40’s. I enjoy life with my partner and two boys. Making the most of our beautiful outdoors I love surfing, golfing, tramping, gardening, cooking, and working on being the best version of myself I can be.

I am a trained counsellor (with certificate in trauma informed therapy) and healing practitioner.

Also trained in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, and Maori Art History. I have previous work experience in the industry of design, marketing, and web–this is where my coaching experience started as I moved into brand and marketing consulting which naturally went into personal/life coaching and business coaching. I have worked with a wide range of businesses over the years.

In my younger days I worked with children teaching organic gardening in schools.
