A great website is one that doesn't just look nice, but fulfils the business's objectives. As such, a great website has to be very much designed around the business both in terms of content and how it prompts the visitor to engage.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
In an initial consultation we seek to understand your company and business objectives so that we can recommend the best solution for your needs. It's not just about us producing what we think will work well, it's about us explaining our recommendations and talking through these with you so that through informed and open discourse we can produce the best end-product for you. The most important information we seek is what is the primary business objective of the website.
What do you love most about your job?
We love helping businesses do better. Our focus is on providing a high-level service, with great response times, transparent and fair pricing and a no-jargon approach to working with and for our clients.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The Website Shop was established when two freelance web designers partnered in 2013 to experiment with the idea of operating a web services business as a retail unit.
We began with a pop-up shop to test the concept, the success of which progressed to opening up our unit on Harold’s Cross bridge a month later. Since then we’ve had the privilege of working for over 450 clients.
