really enjoyed our Sunday lunch... two sisters with parents. I'm vegan with a veggie sister with hungry parents. Sensibly gave notice but assured not necessary = very competent kitchen. Had a lovely dinner here, we ordered from the 3-course vegetarian menu and everything was on point. The restaurant itself is cosy and the service was friendly. Although we liked everything we tried, the goats cheese and mulled pear salad, and butternut squash ravioli were especially good. If you are vegetarian or vegan, I suggest letting the restaurant know beforehand as the chef tried out a new recipe on us which wasn't on the menu (and was delicious, I'd definitely order it again!). We enjoyed a lovely family gathering on New Year's Day in the Forge Restaurant. The food was terrific and combined with a lovely wine choice, a nice relaxed atmosphere and lots of understanding from the staff of our little folk it made for a pleasant afternoon. Well done - we will be back.
