This review is long overdue. We used Paul for our engagement photo shoot while on a February vacation in Galway. The entire process of working with Paul was so easy. Paul was quick to respond to emails and was an amazing help in planning the day so that we got to all of the places we wanted to get to for the shoot. We have never taken pictures like this and did not know what to expect. Paul made us feel extremely comfortable with him and with the photo taking process. He made us feel like we knew him forever and it was a friend taking the photos. We even stopped and had a pint together! Since we were on vacation in Ireland from the states, and didn't get a car, Paul had us hop in his car and drove us to the beach for some great shots. Above all of this, the photos are amazing! We are so happy with the photos and can't stop looking at them. Paul made us a teaser video of the photos and little clips of video that we didn't even know he was taking which made viewing our photos for the first time and reliving those moments so enjoyable. We were so grateful to work with someone fun, kind, talented & professional. Paul took stunning photos of our elopement. Being a couple from the United States that wanted to elope in Ireland, Paul helped every bit of the way and even connected us with a wonderful officiant! Mark and I booked Paul for our wedding on the 28/04/18 and he was fantastic! We cannot recommend him highly enough. We have already seen some of the photos from our wedding and they are amazing � on the day, Paul was very friendly and easy to spend time with which is very important as you spend quite a lot of time with the photographer on the day. I got married on Saturday the 30th of December 2017. I booked Paul a few years back when I first got engaged, after seeing some of his work. He was a pleasure to deal with from day 1. He was so professional on the day, so comforting to me, I was a nervous wreck but he had me completely at ease. From the minute I contacted paul to receiving our photos this week he was so easy and professional to deal with. Nothing was too much hassle and paul always got straight back to me about any little query. On our wedding day I honestly don't know what I would have done without him. My fiance and I booked a trip to Ireland from the states long before we got engaged. Once we got engaged, I thought it would be a cool idea to take our engagement pictures while we were in Ireland. We figured the landscapes couldn't be beat and it would be a great way to remember our trip. I found Paul by researching wedding photographers online and simply thought his work was beautiful. Our experience with Paul was incredible and completely exceeded our expectations. He basically doubled as a personal tour guide for us which we greatly appreciated. Paul took us to the most beautiful, hidden gem areas surrounding the Cliffs of Moher. Places that we would have NEVER found on our own. The views were breathtaking and the pictures were even better! Paul made us feel super comfortable while taking the pictures and didn't make us do anything cheesey or awkward. Our wedding was on Friday the 8th of June and Paul Duane was our photographer but he was more than that, he arrived at our houses were there was madness and he just came in and help us, he was a breeze to have while listening to what we wanted and tell me the bride to relax. Paul was an outstanding photographer. He captured every single shot we requested plus many many more and the quality of his work was top class, every picture was beautiful. Not only was he an amazing photographer, but he helped with lots of other aspects of our day. Helping to carry things, liasing with the hotel staff for us when we arrived, he made sure I got to the church at a respectable time... Only for him I think I would still be getting ready! All of this was completed in a manner that was unobtrusive, helpful and polite. Lots of people asked if I had a photographer on the day, that's how much he blended in seemlessly. Hard to know where to begin with this review. Not only is Paul an outstanding photographer, he is an absolute gentleman and was such a pleasure to have with us on our wedding day. We booked Paul for our Wedding last April 2nd. I emailed Paul and had gotten a response from his wife Fiona within two days. We chatted on the phone and she talked through everything with me. Soon later Paul got in contact and we had him booked. We met Paul the week before the wedding to chat about a few things and we liked him instantly. His laid back nature and reassurance that the photographs will not absorb the day but that it should be fun and easy going and kept natural had us very at ease. We were looking for casual and candid shots, and that's exactly what we got. In the church Paul was very discreet, we barely noticed him doing his thing, and the shots he got were incredible and very moving. After the ceremony we were hoping to take a stroll down Shop Street in town and have a coffee, but we were nervous because of the weather, but Paul encouraged us reminding us we only get this chance once. And it was by far the most memorable part of our day. He photographed us just strolling around before we stopped at a coffee shop to relax. Paul went ahead and bought myself and my husband a coffee each- that's was really did it for us :D he snapped away and chatted with us while we relaxed, it was like hanging out with a friend! Back at the hotel he wasn't pushing us on time or anything, he let us do our thing and mingle with friends and got some amazing shots of our guests mingling also. Even for the family photos, we just had so much fun. Paul also asked if there were any specific shots we wanted of the day. I sent on some more 'posed' photos I liked and he made sure he got them on the day, I didn't need to ask again, he made it a priority.

What surprised us most was the variety of his photographs. He captured all of the emotion on our day, so much that you would miss I got to relive through the photographs. We have a mix of fun, candid shots along with really emotional and elegant ones. What was such a surprise was the 'highlights' video he sent afterward, we weren't expecting that and as we didn't hire a stand alone videographer, we were thrilled with this. He made a few short video clips for us too.

I can't recommend Paul and his wife Fiona enough, as a photographer but even just as the kind of guy you want there with you in the day! 5 stars from us! More...

I am so glad we had Paul as our wedding day photographer. Paul was recommended to us by Karen in the Lough Rea Hotel and the way Karen spoke about Paul and his work we knew we had to book him for our big day. Luckily enough he was the first and only photographer we contacted and he got the job!

From the initial consultation to receiving our final pictures this week Paul was a pleasure to deal with. He is such an easy going, relaxed guy it’s easy to be relaxed in his company and these are the pictures he captures best. He never forces a pose or a picture and that is what we love about our wedding pictures – they are so natural. Paul is so prepared for the wedding day he ensures the day runs likes clockwork. He doesn’t play around trying to get ’the picture’; if it happens he is ready to click and ensures you don’t spend all day away from your guests. He never stops working, from the minute he arrived at my house that morning to the final nighttime shot, Paul was always working on something. After dinner he had a slideshow set up with pictures from the morning up to when we arrived at the hotel. He also took some amazing drone footage from each location we had been to during the day – this was an unexpected bonus and it ties in perfectly with his work. Paul really knows how to capture special moments and we would highly recommend Paul to anyone looking for a photographer, he really does go above and beyond. 5 stars is definitely not enough for him. Paul was everything that we could of wished for and more!
From the easy booking process and great communication (from Fiona too) before the wedding to his calm and relaxed manner on the big day, Paul was just simply amazing and as a previous review mentioned 'an absolute gentleman'. His easy going nature and sense of humour helped ease the nerves on the big day. We were so impressed with the ideas he had for our 'first look' and a couple of photos of just us away from the crowd.
The main reason we booked Paul in the first place, after looking at his portfolio, was how he managed to just catch the perfect candid moments throughout the day and not focusing on the 'staged' photos so much. We had a sneak peek at a few photos he'd taken through the day, with the slideshow he set up when we were sat down for dinner, and were blown away by the quality of the photos and the moments he had captured! We can't wait to see the rest of them.
It's actually quite hard to put into words how amazing he was. He never rushed us, he never felt 'in the way' - just let us do our thing, and was happy to take any photos we asked for. Your wedding day is just such a blur and goes so quickly that it was so lovely to have Paul there capturing moments that you don't get to see.
We would highly recommend him for anyone looking for a photographer and wish him, Fiona, and their business all the very best for the future. Go get yourself some more well deserved awards!!!! More...
