Helping SME's to deal with the daily HR issues they face.

Having worked in HR for 15 years, in senior management and director levels, I realised there was a gap in the market to assist SME’s who required help with their HR duties but could not justify the expense of having an in-house HR department.

With over 15 years HR experience, both nationally and internationally, GHR Consulting understands the HR issues faced by SME's. We offer solutions and advice to resolve any HR issues and prevent them from re-occurring.

GHR Consulting offers in-person, telephone, and remote advice to suit Government restrictions and our clients needs.

Currently, all advice is offered remotely - all in-person meetings have been moved online. Advice on the latest Covid-19 government advice has been regularly communicated to customers in our monthly newsletter. Similarly, we offer advice on grants to businesses that have been affected by Covid-19.

Ensuring all employees have updated contracts of employment. I will also review your time on/time off systems to see if they are legally compliant (You are supposed to be recording all staff break times, for example).

Review all existing HR policies and update them to include the latest changes to Irish employment law. Introduction of new HR policies as required by you and your team. Below is a sample list of HR Policies that I will provide:

Develop a performance appraisal system for management to use to ensure they are correctly appraising their staff and tackling performance-related issues in their early stages.

Implementation of a cloud-based HR system (www.hrlocker.com) to store all HR Documents; staff training; booking of annual leave; reviews etc. I will assist with the full roll-out of this service to ensure it is implemented correctly. The approximate cost of the online system (depending on which package you take) is €500-800 per year, paid directly to HR Locker.

I will assist with identifying training requirements for your staff. As a member of the Government Funded Skillnet Steering Group, I am in a position to advise on the best courses at the most cost-effective price.

I would also look to create a database and track what training staff requires – Investing money in your high performing staff via training/education is a good retention strategy which I will be looking to implement. THE HRIS system outlined above allows real-time-reviews and best-practice reviewing of your staff.

Offering advice on employee benefits packages including salary benchmarks, pensions, healthcare, and proposing innovative employee benefits to ensure a high level of staff retention. Auto-Enrolment into company pensions is due to be implemented in Ireland in 2022 so I can prepare your business for that.
