Deirdre Coyne, MIACP & MACI
Hello, I am Deirdre Coyne, counsellor and psychotherapist working in both Dublin and Galway. I believe that I will be able to help you in your recovery through the experience I have gained over the last number of years and through the understanding I have of severe trauma. I have an energetic and positive attitude and a common sense approach. I will help your to be positively self-aware while being sensitive and empathethic. I have a firm belief in people’s inherent ability to change and develop and I sincerely want to help and nuture my clients.
Deirdre Coyne (Counsellor and Psychotherapist): I hold a B.Sc. Honours Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University as well as a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from PCI College. I am a fully accredited member of both IACP and ACI. I act as a Trustee member of the Board of ACI as well as holding the Chair of the Education and Training Committee and being a member of the Accreditation Committee. I facilitated Process Groups and provided One to One therapy sessions to the service users of the St. John of God’s Community Service. I promote a Person Centred Integrative Approach in counselling and my areas of interest are Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, Eating Disorders and Trauma. I work with young people, adults, couples and groups.
I ensure positive proactive support is provided to my clients to aid recovery progression. I pride myself on developing a relationship with my clients which enables us to explore the underlying causes of their conflicts and behavioural difficulties.
