What do you love most about your job?

Being a Counsellor and Psychotherapist is more than a job to me, it is a something that I chose to do later in life and take great satisfaction to be in a position where I can make a difference.

It is so gratifying to be in a position to play a part in improving an individual's emotional and mental health.

To play a part and help someone change from sadness and despair to a place of reduced anxiety and improved self esteem is very rewarding.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Many years ago I lost a great friend to suicide and on that day my life changed forever, along with those of his family and loved one.

After his passing I wanted to gain a better understanding of how poor mental health can have such a dreadful impact on someone and looked for answers.

This led me to become a volunteer with The Samaritans and started me on my path to becoming a Counsellor and Psychotherapist.

Why should our clients choose you?

Prior to agreeing to take on a new client I offer a free phone consultation (30 minutes).

This is to help ensure that I am the right counsellor for you, and also to answer any questions you may have and gain an insight into your concerns.

As an older Counsellor I also bring many years of life experience to my therapeutic practice, which I believe enhances the counselling relationship, and this experience has proven to be invaluable in my practice.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes I am available for online counselling through Zoom or Skype

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
