Yoga With Meg

Yoga With Meg

Meg began her yoga journey in her late teens. Through her extensive travel to Europe, Borneo, America, Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia she deepened her spiritual practise. Last year she studied at Santosha Yoga School in Bali and she is now teaching yoga and sharing her knowledge of practise with others. Meg's yoga is about well-being. She believes a strong body, clear mind and open heart are a way to living a balanced and healthy life. Meg has something very unique and special to offer and will help you find your own personal practise. She brings elements of all varieties of yoga but her main focus is Vinyasa Flow, postures flowing one into another using the breath to guide the body. Meg's teaches group classes in the West Sussex area and has a class for any ages or ability. Meg also teaches meditation in offices around Horsham and is available for one-on-one meditation or yoga classes.

Sian Rule Yoga

Sian Rule Yoga

I run friendly weekly yoga classes for all experiences, encouraging everyone to work at their own level. I take one-to-one sessions for people who are too busy to attend classes, prefer to do yoga in their own home or workspace, or who want an approach for their individual needs. My teaching focuses on developing an awareness of body and mind through postures, exercises, breathing techniques and guided meditations. We hold postures to increase the stretch from muscles through ligaments, tendons and fascia to bring space and openness, release tensions and allow energy to flow more effectively. We build strength, stamina and resilience through held standing postures or leg and arm balances, flexibility through postures such as lunges, twists, standing forward bends. The spine is stretched and helped to release tension through lying twists, standing forward bends, rocking and strengthened directly through diagonal stretches and indirectly through addressing the hip flexors, hamstrings, quadriceps and abdominals. Breathing techniques help to calm the mind and bring awareness to the rhythm of the breath, while also bringing us into the present moment and away from repetitive thought patterns. Short guided meditations bring our awareness within to how the mind reacts, to our inner self - to experience what it is to be 'me' and simply 'be' rather than always 'doing'. I am currently interested in how patterns of energy can affect our health, and how simple, easy to learn exercises can balance energies so we can bring ourselves out of that dip in the afternoon and have enough energy for all the tasks and activities we want to do in our day.

Yoga Classes

Yoga is much more than a kind of physical exercise. This practice helps you train your mind and body, stay fit, solve and prevent a variety of medical problems, and simply makes you feel great. Good yoga classes will teach you not only the physical aspects of the practice but also train you in the ways of meditation and even offer nutrition advice.

  • Bark will find you yoga classes that can teach you various types of yoga. The most popular are ashtanga yoga, kundalini yoga, lyengar yoga, Anusara yoga, and Jivamukti yoga. You can also find specialized classes of restorative yoga that will help you recuperate after a stressful day of work. Yoga is so efficient in restoring your body to its full capacity that it comes highly recommended as a complement to post-surgery and post-injury physical therapy. There are also classes that focus on prenatal yoga that helps future mothers reduce the physical stress of the pregnancy.
  • Yoga classes may offer extra services. For example, some of the schools and yoga centers offer video lessons for at-home yoga practice. They also often post simple exercise routines on their websites. Experienced yoga professionals also offer individual training and can design a personalized program that will help you deal with your particular set of health issues.
  • The yoga teachers that Bark puts you in touch with can be complemented with some other services that will help you get healthy, lose weight, or change your body shape. We offer the contacts of nutritionists and personal trainers as well as martial arts and swimming classes.
