What do you love most about your job?

I have worked in Private Client Legal Services for more than 15 years, having started my distance learning law degree whilst working for a Government Communication Organisation.
A career in probate, trusts and wills followed and became my speciality following my role within a busy litigation and personal injury law firm where I developed their wills and probate department. I continued to work as a Private Client Paralegal for another well-established city law firm before deciding to become a director of my own company, working directly with private clients.
I have also continued my studies to include a fuller range of services to provide my clients with all the expert help they need under one roof. I provide a caring, personal service – working from the office or in my clients’ homes, care homes and hospitals.
I find my work very rewarding as I know I make a positive difference to my clients.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Having successfully worked for myself in the past and following the recent changes with Covid 19 and the uncertainty in the employment sector, I decided to offer my skills directly to my clients on a self employed basis.

Why should our clients choose you?

I understand that wills, powers of attorney and probate can be a scary and often uncomfortable subject, so I work hard to develop a connection with my often-elderly clients to put them at ease and to make the process as seamless as possible in order to gain a better understanding of their requirements. I have also worked in the community offering care to the elderly and those with dementia.

Aside from this I have had the opportunity to work in the Coroner’s Court aiding the Coroner and the members of the jury.

I feel privileged to have chosen a profession that combines my love of law with my love of people. I work hard to bring these two together in all aspects of my work, always providing my clients with a caring and compassionate service highlighted by diligence and professionalism. I treat each client with care as I would like a member of my own family to be treated if they had approached a lawyer and my fees are very realistic. That is the cornerstone of how I approach my work at The Legal Office.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Whilst we offer home, hospital and care home visits for our clients who are unable to attend our offices , during COVID-19, we are now also offering legal advice and support by telephone, Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp and email.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

With the help of modern technology , we are able to offer our services by various mediums to ensure the safety of our clients . We understand modern technology can be daunting to some of our older and vulnerable clients therefore to ensure our clients receive the best service possible we have put in place other ways to assist our clients.
