‘21 Certificate of Excellence

I'm Jeremy James, a professional wedding photographer shooting weddings in and around Norfolk and London. The best wedding photography isn't staged or posed. So I specialise in authentic documentary wedding photography and beautiful portraits. What's unique about my approach to wedding photography is that apart from portraits and groups, I don't need you to pose to capture amazing images. Instead I use my years of experience as a photojournalist to document your day discreetly in beautiful pictures without turning your wedding into a photoshoot. My clients want to relax and enjoy their wedding days, knowing they can look forward to amazing wedding photography without all the posing. If this sounds like you, I'd love to hear more about your wedding.

What do you love most about your job?

Beautiful moments like the ones you see in my portfolio happen at every wedding, but not all photographers will have the training, skill and expertise not just to spot them, but capture them in a beautiful way. I love being able to do that for clients knowing that powerful imagery will transport them back to their wedding day time and time again. It's a position of huge responsibility and not one I take lightly. I love knowing I've captured a powerful shot that I know my clients will love when they perhaps haven't even spotted me taking it. A trained photojournalist will love nothing more than the opportunity to take a photo that tells a story and I don't think there can be any better situation in which to do that than a wedding.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I believe in powerful storytelling through images. It's all I have ever done and I've spent many years training and honing my photo-journalism skills to get to where I am today. I was inspired to start my own business because I believe that great wedding photography is so much more than posed up portraits of the bride, groom and their family. I wanted to offer couples something more unique with powerful wedding photojournalism that really does tell a story. It's easy to mistake documentary or reportage wedding photography as candid pictures of people looking away from the camera, but it's much more than that. To me it's about spotting and capturing natural moments that record weddings in a way that evokes emotion every time you look.

Why should our clients choose you?

Because I am an expert in telling stories with powerful images. It's all I have ever done. Before photographing weddings I gained years of valuable experience as a photo-journalist in London where I shot for national newspapers and national magazines. I travelled the world shooting a diverse range of subjects from breaking news in disaster zones to celebrities and royalty in luxurious locations, often to a tight deadline and with no room for error and I think my clients are reassured knowing that there's no situation I can't handle. My experience means that spotting the little moments that will translate into powerful wedding photography is second nature to me. Clients who choose me know they can rely on me not to miss those moments so they can relive their wedding day over and over again through my images.
