Interim Digital Ltd

North Yorkshire

‘19 Certificate of Excellence

I've worked in media and digital for over a decade and have spent the last 8 years specialising in digital marketing. Working for some of the largest digital agencies in the country across a wide range of clients from global retailers through to SME's and start-ups, my client experience includes brands such as giffgaff, Oasis Clothing, Karen Millen and Studio.co.uk. Starting my digital life as a hands on technical SEO consultant I have since worked in both Business Development as well as Client Services as an Account Director. This unique range of experience means that I can design and deliver best-in-class, commercially centric integrated digital strategies in both the UK and internationally. I founded Interim Digital Ltd due to a recognition that digital requirements for SME's, brands and agencies flex regularly meaning long term investment in teams and strategists can sometimes pose significant risk and expense. With an increasing amount of the best digital minds in the industry embracing the gig economy by opting to go solo we are now able to select the best consultants we need to meet our client's needs on an ad hoc basis. What Does this Mean for Our Clients? 1.0) All of our consultants previously worked for large digital agencies meaning our clients get access to the best minds in the digital business without having to commit to the fees associated with large agencies. 2.0) We work with our consultants as and when our clients need as opposed to having a suite of experts on hand all day every day. Saving on head count again means our clients are not paying for our running costs, they're simply paying for the advice and support they need as and when they need it. 3.0) Our flexible model means we can respond to ad hoc requests consistently and quickly unlike larger agencies where often a client request forms part of a lengthy queue. Interim Digital consolidates the best freelance minds across a vast range of digital disciplines meaning our clients get expert advice and support, on tap, as and when they need it...without exception.

What makes a great website?

Simplicity. So many websites try and over complicate the process with complex design and unnecessary wording. Keep it clean and simple, clearly stating who you are and what you do so that it's obvious what you offer as soon as a potential customer lands on your website.

Also, make it easy for potential customers to contact you. Have clear calls to action throughout the website - it's hard getting people to your website in the first place so you have to ensure that you're doing everything you can to keep them once they find you!

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

What are you business goals. A nice looking website is great but it's surplus to requirements if it hasn't been designed with your business and your businesses audience in mind.

Competition. Who do you consider your competition, are there any competitor websites that you particularly do/don't like the look and feel of. Who do you think are the winners and losers in your market?

What do you love most about your job?

I've worked for large digital agencies all my working life and as they grow, their fees grow and processes become more and more complicated meaning it's very hard for SME's and sole traders to get the quality of service they need for a fair price. Working for myself, without the overheads of a large agency means I can pass my cost savings onto my clients.

I keep the process simple from start to finish. If you're a sole trader or an SME you don't need all the bells and whistles that are readily associated with large digital agencies - sometimes all you need is a presence and that's what we offer!

Quick turnaround without compromising on creativity or service!

What inspired you to start your own business?

Whether you're a hairdresser or a dog walker, asos.com or John Lewis, the principles of web design and marketing are all exactly the same. I wanted to take the experience I'd gained working on large high street brands and apply them to the small businesses of the world but at a fraction of the cost. I constantly want to provide my clients with access to the best digital minds but without having to be tied into contracts, charged the earth or be a small fish in a large pool of other clients.

Why should our clients choose you?

My background is in client service and I'm dedicated to all my clients receiving the level of service they deserve from their digital partner. When a website goes out of our door we don't just want our clients to like them, we want them to LOVE them! Every service we offer is a two way street and the clients who get the best out of us are the ones who work with us closely and become part of the process. This way they know exactly what to expect and when so that they leave a happy customer!
