Two-thirds of online adults in the U.K. and three-quarters of online adults in the U.S. have social media accounts. Most of these account holders are active on social media at least once a day. By not using social media any business is missing an opportunity to get its message consistently through to its target audience. Whilst social media (on the whole) won’t attract immediate business , a consistent social media presence will turn on a drip fed stream of information to the company’s target audience that will, in time, attract new business and encourage return business. Social Media is a great way of attracting attention for new clients. In a classic sales funnel of Awareness ! Interest ! Evaluation ! Trial ! Adoption ! Loyalty, Social Media is a cost effective and consistently proven way of fulfilling that first ‘awareness’ phase. By filling up the top of the funnel with quality leads from social media, there’s an increased chance of more business coming out of the other end. My approach is to focus on the social media platforms that best reflect your brand and create and share regular content on those platforms. This will drive traffic back to your site and increase brand awareness. I would also use some social media tools such as Social Bro and Hootsuite to analyse social media performance and target new followers and potential fans. I currently run the social media accounts for Global Philanthropic. VIDEO PRODUCTION/OPTIMISATION Coming from a TV and video production background, I can deliver a full video strategy, from 10 second clips for Instagram, to pieces several minutes long that sit on your website and tell longer stories. I have directed corporate videos for M&S and BP as well as producing shows for the BBC, MTV and Five.
