Adam Morris CBT

Hertfordshire

I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with a passion for supporting and helping people. I work primarily using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with adults, teenagers, students and athletes and can treat a variety of mental health disorders including: anxiety, depression, phobias, health anxiety, social anxiety, panic, OCD and low self esteem. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy which focuses on the connection between our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. CBT helps people to manage problems through learning coping skills and focuses on the client being involved in exercises during sessions which can then be applied to daily life.

What do you love most about your job?

The most important part of my job is being able to help people to build positive mental health habits that can help to improve both their physical and mental wellbeing. I love being able to build positive relationships with clients so that I can make them feel comfortable and at ease when delivering therapy.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Since studying psychology over 10 years ago my aim has always been to provide people with the tools on how to manage their mental health more effectively. Just like physical health, we all have mental health and I believe that each and every one of us must take the time and action to look after our mental wellbeing. My passion for mental health is demonstrated through the work of my day job at PlanetK2 by focusing on helping people to perform better at work. I am a leading expert in mental health content and have developed hundreds of pieces of online accessible material to educate, inspire and break down the stigma attached to mental health

Why should our clients choose you?

When working with people to manage their mental health I focus my time and energy on building a positive therapeutic relationship. As a therapist this is an important factor which I am actively working towards building in each session and something I believe helps to contribute to recovery.
