What do you love most about your job?

Meet Tracy, a Neurodivergent Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Education Consultant and Therapist who is deeply passionate about supporting neurodivergent children. As the Founder of Child Therapy Service CIC, Tracy is dedicated to helping parents discover the perfect support for their children while providing professionals with a reliable hub of SEMH resources and training.

With a wealth of experience in leading a SEMH Nurture Provision and Pupil Referral Unit within an Outstanding Multi Academy Trust, Tracy brings a remarkable depth of knowledge to her work. She has also made a significant impact mentoring Newly Qualified Teachers as a valued member of the Sussex NQT Appropriate Body Lead Team.

Tracy’s approach transcends traditional methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and direct talk-based therapies. Her expertise lies in providing effective alternatives that empower SEMH students, especially those who are neurodivergent, to overcome the barriers that may impede their educational progress.

As a specialist in on-site therapeutic interventions for schools, Tracy is exceptionally skilled at helping students break down the obstacles associated with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. By collaborating directly with schools, she ensures that students receive the tailored support they need to thrive.

Rest assured, Tracy’s unwavering commitment lies in the safety and well-being of every child she works with. Holding an Enhanced DBS, ESCC Safeguarding, and Child Protection Certificates, she goes above and beyond to create a secure environment for all.

Whether you’re a parent searching for compassionate support for your child or a professional seeking comprehensive resources and training in SEMH education, Tracy is here to provide the guidance and assistance you need.

Why should our clients choose you?

ADVOCACY + SUPPORT

We actively promote and support the emotional well-being of children unable to understand, communicate, or regulate their emotional overwhelm.

Our advocacy role involves a range of activities, including:

Monthly Coffee Mornings: Providing emotional support and guidance to families of children that struggle to understand, communicate, or regulate their emotional overwhelm.

Advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with mental health conditions and raising awareness about mental health issues. We achieve this through our collaboration work with local schools and national organisations include the PDA Society.

Live and On-demand Workshops: Educating individuals and groups about emotional health, stress management, and self-care practices for individuals unable to understand, communicate, or regulate their emotional overwhelm.

Therapeutic Group Work: Supporting families and professionals at risk of burn-out, due to supporting emotionally dysregulated children.

Outreach Services: Collaborating with families, healthcare providers, and educator to develop and implement effective strategies for promoting emotional well-being that impact on a child’s ability to access a full-time education.

AWARENESS + EDUCATION

We raise awareness of children struggling to understand, communicate, and regulate their emotional overwhelm through:

Knowledge: Education is crucial to raise awareness of emotional ill-health for those unable to communicate their needs. We achieve this through our on-demand resources, vlogs, coffee mornings with guest speakers, on-demand training, and live workshops.

Social Media: We actively raise awareness through our social media campaigns, sharing personal stories and experiences.

Events: We organise monthly events including coffee mornings, talks, and workshops to raise awareness of emotional dysregulation in children. This is where we invite mental health professionals, individuals with lived experience, and community leaders to speak. The goal with all our events is empowerment. Sharing the power of knowledge with families, professionals, and schools.

Collaboration: We work with families, professionals, and schools on collaboration projects that help emotionally dysregulated children access a full-time education. These include our tactile defensiveness project in 2022 and our work with Whitehall Academy School for disadvantaged children.
