What do you love most about your job?

Counselling allows me to use my learning and experience to make a positive impact and assist individuals in becoming the best person they can be. Counselling can introduce you to a new set of values, help you assess your own self-defeating behaviour and negative thought patterns and actually give you the tools to successfully deals with all that life throws at you. I am able to provide a safe and confidential environment for you to speak, to feel and to be heard and valued as an individual, in what can be a scary and challenging world.

What inspired you to start your own business?

For many, just having someone to listen to their problems can be enough. But imagine if that person listening had undergone years of training, enabling them to interpret your thoughts and feelings, helping you to re-arrange them into a more rational and cohesive pattern and actually assisting you in challenging your current behaviour patterns to make your issues much easier to deal with.
It's about being able to have a safe and trusted environment where you feel comfortable to share whatever is going on for you, problems, concerns, areas you’d like to personally develop. Essentially, it’s time for you to just be you, free from any form of judgement.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am a fully qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and mentor registered with The National Counselling Society - Ad.Dip.PsyC MNCS(Accred). I am also approved by Anxiety UK. More importantly, I have suffered a lot of trauma in my own life, particularly in relationships, which led me to study and become a counsellor, so that I could use my experience and skills to help those that are suffering as I did.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I offer my services online via Zoom or Teams and also by telephone. I am a certified Online and Telephone Counsellor with vast experience in this way of delivering sessions. Please see my website for full details.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I am currently able to return to face to face therapy with increased hygiene procedures in place. Clients can enter my counselling room without needing contact with others or having to touch anything. All surfaces and seating are wiped with recommended sanitising products between sessions. A distance of at least 2 metres can be maintained between myself and clients at all times. Masks are to be worn by all those attending face to face sessions.
Naturally, it is the client's choice as to how they wish to partake in sessions, so Online (Zoom), Telephone and Asynchronous sessions will continue as normal.
