For the two lines marked with * above, I can also offer an optional Lumina Sales Portrait for individual sales staff and overall teams. Each Portrait analyses the effective and "over-extended" qualities of each individual, showing areas of strengths and potential causes of friction with prospects. The Portraits also come with a cyclical 6 stage sales lifecycle model, and each of the individual's personality qualities are mapped to each of these stages so they may understand clearly the areas they will typically be more naturally proficient at, along with areas to develop or to temper where appropriate. Calling them "strengths and weaknesses" misses some important points. Note that the Leader and individual products in the Lumina range have, I believe, been used in some sections of the Nottingham City Council, Eon, Capital One in their Nottingham based HQs, and globally at the likes of Tesco, Adidas, Pfizer amongst others. A sample portrait is available if desired. • Sales strategy analysis • What is the current period's goal, turnover or profit per annum, quarter etc? • What are their products/services structured, pricing model, how much need to be shipped per period to achieve target goals? • What is the client's sales lead time? ie How long, typically from first contact to purchase order? • How many incoming and outgoing prospect "touches" does it take to make one sale? Are they doing enough? If not, why? • Measuring and monitoring sales activity, schedules, various KPIs and optionally dashboards to ensure management and staff are on top of the sales targets • General productivity tips - more for smaller businesses and business owners who may not be aware of various tactics, and how these tactics can affect or help the sales process • Customer Experience (CX) coaching - the customer "journey" from initial marketing, first contact, sales behaviours, post sell delivery, support and nurturing. This includes but is not limited to customer service, renewals, account management, cross-sell + upsell opportunities etc. Channels of communication, speed and quality of communication on each channel. Attitude, company values etc. How to protect the company and resolve issues at the same time. Optionally have NLP sessions to help deal with any stresses or triggers as part of this • Cross-cultural understanding. For a non-UK company who is or wishes to sell to the UK - Do they have experience in understanding British culture, business and social etiquette? Are you a UK business who wants to sell to the US, Canada, China? If so I may be able to help them understand the cultural differences in each to help you optimise opportunities to do business. I have a degree in International Relations (2012, 2:1) with a focus on the Global Political Economy, identity and an understanding of regional blocs such as the EU and ASEAN. I have lived and studied in China, plus lived and worked in Canada, plus have sold to Canada, US and other countries from the UK. I can work together with client staff look at internal communication between teams, for example, to understand if or how they are supporting each other to achieve the business and personal goals?   How does this help you understand what I can potentially do for you? Well, although naturally a people-person, I'm also analytical and like to understand how something works before trying to make it better. So I try to look at the structural foundation to the selling process - the sales strategy, the current situation, and where you want to be in a given time-frame. Then break that down into chunks and work out ways to hit those targets, including identifying target audiences, learning who they are and what they want so you can also build the best rapport and long-term relationships you can with that audience. I also look at areas of potential inefficiency to see whether anything can be further improved upon that makes sense / feels right to your unique business. Also, we can look at data quality to ensure it's all as clean and sensible as it can realistically be. I typically work with ambitious, visionary and open-minded clients who have less than 100 staff, sometimes who have a small team of salespeople with a range of levels of experience. Often, I work with individuals for 1:1 coaching on their own businesses or staff within organisations. Additionally, albeit in technology supply, I have experience in selling to channel partners and resellers, thus have some understanding of the need to help them market and sell to their own customers. It's part of the whole customer experience - at the end of the day your customers' customers are also your own, just indirectly. Helping your clients sell more will encourage them to stay loyal to yourself. Right? For me, sales is in its simplest form a case of humans agreeing to work with or buy into another human's ideas, goods or services. How do we achieve this? Ask questions to understand what they really want and see if there's a way for you to help them that benefits you both. I've met senior salespeople who deal with multi-million-pound deals who agree with this. No matter how big the company, the key is working out how to do business with a given person, and to do that it helps if you understand who they are, what drives them and what makes them happy at a business and personal level. Finally, sales and running a business can be brutal if you don't have a resilient mindset - I can help with this too. After all, I'm doing this myself on a daily basis too. I know how it feels! I promise it won't look anything like the chest beating meditation of Matthew McConaughey in the wolf of Wall Street (https://youtu.be/tAhIg5Dy3uA ) I imagine you already have a solid sales lifecycle and processes, but I am happy to look these over. Similarly, I imagine you have a detailed CRM which is well used to aid the selling process, marketing and customer retention. If you feel you could do with a refresher in these areas, I'm more than happy to run through these as well. I'm a bit of a stickler for data quality and simple processes to follow. If you have a database of leads, contacts etc, we can look at segmenting it, fair distribution of territories amongst the people who sell for you, if relevant - segment by something like geographic region, population spread, customer type, retailer type/size etc and communicate with each accordingly e.g. selling to a business on the outskirts of rural areas may need different language to a large group in a city centre? They might have different needs? How about traditional vs modern and young markets? Most people have a desire to increase their retention rate of existing clients. We can certainly look at why clients aren't staying with you for the long term too, again if relevant. Naturally, I can't guarantee a given percentage increase in sales, income or funding, but I'll be surprised if I can't come up with anything to increase these numbers by at least 5% - what's that worth to your organisation? I can also use an understanding of language "power words" or styles of communication that have the potential to affect emotions, eg the Fear Of Missing Out, when and how to offer discounts, and a number of other psychology of marketing language techniques to instil a sense of pride, luxury, family etc. We can look at the language and structure of discounts, proposals, email templates and the like to assist in increasing conversion rates.

As an entrepreneur, I’ve been fortunate to work on a number of successful projects; building businesses from the ground up. For me, business started at the young age of 11 years old when I started selling music. With a thirst for knowledge and technology, I set my sights on website design and set up my own agency designing websites for local business in the UK and France. In 2015 I set up a recruitment business as well as several other ventures. Although I am no longer in the music, website design or recruitment business, I am always finding new ways to use my skills to provide value to my clients and the people around me. Other clients of mine have found the return on their investment included greater opportunities for their career or organisation and in life away from work, gaining promotion, being more strategic, being more resilient, being more confident, stepping up to higher leadership level, raising credibility as a director, growing their business, increasing profits, feeling happier and more resolved personally, finding fulfilment, more enjoyment in life, and many more. Potential financial return on investment: For an individual private client. Consider that your coaching programme is often about you becoming more effective, managing the challenges you face, being a better leader, raising your leadership presence and accelerating your career. For some of my clients, the coaching programme is about finding a completely new direction in order to find more fulfilment, happiness and the right work life balance, including very often a more financially rewarding career. Many of my clients gain a promotion or negotiate a salary rise as a result of our work together. If your remuneration package were to rise by £5k, and you have 10 years left to retirement, your return on investment is £50k minus the cost of your coaching package. This is a relatively low estimate of the return for many clients. If your raise were higher and/or your time to retirement is longer, the return is even greater. I would expect you to have more than just one promotion or salary increase over your remaining career, as you benefit from the programme long after we stop working when you continue to implement the strategies you have learnt. For many of my private clients, the more intangible personal gains in terms of improved confidence, happiness, fulfilment, relationships, wellbeing, health, reduced stress and choosing to live the kind of life you really want to have are more important than the financial return on their investment in coaching. It can be useful to consider how much you would normally invest in all your holidays each year and whether the changes you want to achieve through coaching have greater or less meaning, benefit and value for you.
