Lisa-Andrea Fischer

Hello, I have just finished my PGCE Secondary Science course and am looking for tutees who need help in science. I am happy to teach Biology up to A-level, Chemistry for GCSE and Physics up to KS3. I would also like to teach German as that is my first language and I rarely use it since I moved to the UK. And despite it being my first language I am familiar with grammar etc! So, please get in touch! I am looking forward to hearing from you! I am very passionate about horses and have just started to work self-employed as a riding instructor. Have a look at my website to find out what I specialise in! www.fischerriding.wordpress.com Please note that I don't have horses that are suitable for riding lessons. You must have your own horse or borrow/loan a horse to have a lesson with me.

What do you love most about your job?

I am very passionate about teaching: a good education enables you to succeed in life. What that success looks like is up to every individual, but I love to help you to explore your talents and what success is for YOU.
Of course I love my subjects! I think the sciences are very exciting as they explain the world around you up to a certain degree. Plus there are practicals which makes it fun! There are even some simple practicals that you could do at home!
And I love my language. German is very difficult to learn but when you get the grasp of it there are wonderful phrases and word plays. I want to help you to discover all those things during the learning process!

What inspired you to start your own business?

Schools often struggle to do all students justice (that is not the school's fault - it's just what happens when you teach loads of students at once). I want to help those who might struggle to learn effectively in a school setting or just need a bit more time or individual explanations to access the content. That is why I am now here.

Why should our clients choose you?

My subject knowledge is excellent and I can explain the content in many different ways to ensure that you or your child can understand it. I also believe that literacy and numeracy are important skills that I will focus on along the subject content.
But as far as I am concerned teaching is not only about the subject content and academic skills. It is also about character education: building confidence, resilience, being passionate and empathetic.
