Albert Lucas Photography

Professional Photographer based in London. Multi-Disciplined for a variety of shoots. I like to make things as simple and easy as possible, with great quality images, in one simple package. I've studied, film, television, and photography, with an in-depth knowledge of fundamentals as well as creative on-the-spot problem-solving. Honestly, it's about giving clients the ability to capture memories in the most beautifully elegant, and visually pleasing way possible! But! everyone has their own tastes, that's where YOU come in, we can go over what you need what you're looking to accomplish, and give me example works to create an entire look for your shoot. Or you can point and shoot and let me advise you on what i think may work, or the best of both worlds. It's really about being flexible and friendly for me :)

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

It's about subject matter really, and what's important to a client. If a client needs a picture of a dog but you only get the tail you're not really doing your job. Understanding the fundamentals is how you begin to break the rules and get creative.

Capturing a moment really applies to this too, the timing and emotion of an image are important and should convey something meaningful or interesting.

Oh and taking the lens cap off really helps :)

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

It's a collaborative project, so I might ask if they have a vision in mind or any ideas as to what they're after. If they have a clear vision or idea in mind it can be helpful or something like creating a mood board of images they already have or that they like and have seen elsewhere.

What do you love most about your job?

I love capturing moments and seeing the joy and emotion great images can bring out in people.

Memories are directly linked to our vision, seeing something makes us remember it.

I love the idea of someone picking up an image I did for a client in 20 years and thinking wow "That's what they looked like" or "that's how they lived"

What inspired you to start your own business?

I'd had a creative side since a young age but hadn't put it to use, and after school like many had no idea what to do, while in limbo I started studying film. That developed into becoming an independent multi-disciplined creator.

I saw some of the great imagery that's captured moments around the world from Tiananmen square to the moon landing.

Why should our clients choose you?

I think that I'm creative enough to fulfill a vision but not so creative I start painting on the walls. It's about being fun approachable and getting a good result at the end. If the clients happy it makes me happy, and if we have fun while doing it doesn't feel like a stand there and do this type of shoot.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, I can edit any images or provide touchups to any portraits. As well as video editing.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Any shoot will be done socially distanced, luckily lenses can normally be used from 2 metres away.

If on location I'll be wearing a mask at all times as well as disinfecting equipment.

Also, I have a vaccination.
