What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

A combination of factors - knowing how to use your kit is an essential start! practice, practice and practice some more until you instinctively know where all the buttons are on your camera and what exactly the effect will be if you fiddle with them. After that, it comes down to a far more instinctive sense of being able to read your subject and knowing how to get the best from each situation or person in front of you.

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

What's your budget! Sorry, it's boring but good to know. That way, we can all plan our time well, and the client won't get any nasty financial surprises. Then I will always want to know what a client's end goal or usage for my work will be. That too can answer a lot of questions in one fell swoop. Often things a client won't even need to know about, like the kit I bring to a job or the resolution or dimensions of a document.

What do you love most about your job?

Every new project is a challenge. And every challenge is a new opportunity to draw upon my experience and skills to try to surpass expectation and provide a client with a result that gives them extra enthusiasm and vigour about their own work.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Working in a business has some advantages, but instead of being just one part of a larger process, I wanted to know more! I wanted to be able to talk to more people and take control of my workload. The work/home life balance wasn't working for me or my young family either. Now, it does!

Why should our clients choose you?

Bags of experience; A good communicator and easy to work with; Very particular about finishing every project to the highest standard.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

99% of the graphic design work that I do is remote. A project may kick off with a face-to-face meeting or video call, but typically communication continues after that via emails and phone calls. If you need me to work along side you in your office, them that's okay too.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Like most of us I've changed my habits a little bit due to Covid-19. I've recently noticed that I still wash my hands more than I ever used to! Although I no longer wear a face covering in public places, I will always ask clients about their requirements of me when meeting in person and I'm completely respectful of their wishes.
