GFIT

Hi Guys! My name is George and I’m a Personal Trainer and Online Coach based South of Glasgow. I own GFIT Gym in Hamilton, a private gym focusing on 1-1, 1-2 and Group PT Sessions. All throughout my life I’ve had a passion for health & fitness and with most members of my family being interested in the fitness industry, it was hard not to be surrounded by like minded people. Fast forward a few years and I started my own Personal Training journey by firstly having my own, she showed me exactly how important it is to have someone in your corner, guiding and motivating you to reach your goals - whatever they may be! One of my main reasons for becoming a Personal Trainer was to watch people adapt and improve their lives, both mentally and physically by creating a fun and comfortable (not always!) environment in which you can work hard, learn and evolve, and create habits that last a lifetime. SPECIALIST AREAS: ✦Confidence Building ✦Weight Loss ✦Body Fat Reduction ✦Muscle Tone & Development ✦Motivation ✦Bespoke Plans ✦Nutrition & Macro Guidance

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

No one likes to have information bombarded at them with a load of inconceivable jargon. We talk, we discover together what will work for you. I'm here to guide and motivate and won't you just know about it! I'll be down your ear whenever you need me, pushing you to the limits I know you can reach. We'll have fun and more importantly, you will start believing in yourself when those results start showing.

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

BALANCE BALANCE BALANCE! There'e no point in putting yourself on a super strict diet for so many weeks for you to then fall off the wagon and spiral out of control because you've been restricting yourself from all good the world has to offer. What I devise is a safe, effective and nutritious nutrition and training programme that doesn't cut out your favourites whether that be pizza, burgers, cookies, cakes, biscuits or booze. We INCLUDE these things within the plan because those are the things we enjoy and things we can enjoy while still working towards out goals. Now I'm not saying go and pummel yourself with pizza and chocolate every day - there has to be some pullback, but incorporating these things in smaller amounts throughout the week ensure your cravings are satisfied and you're not going to derail and binge. Alongside a tailored training programme, there's no reason why we shouldn't enjoy ourselves along the way!!

What do you love most about your job?

I love meeting people from all walks of life and I find I'm a pretty adaptable person so the two go hand in hand. If you're a bit of a chatter box then we can talk until the cows come home! If you're a little more shy and reserved then we can work around what works best for you to feel comfortable. Seeing someone at the beginning of their journey and looking back from where they are now it's such an incredible feeling of WE DID THAT - together! Seeing the happiness and lease for life that I can give someone that may not have known was there before is a feeling like none other.

What inspired you to start your own business?

After years and years on my own fitness journey and deciding to gaining my qualification I wanted to give back to the industry that has given me so much in that time. The passion I feel for the health and fitness industry is second to nothing, and being able to share that with existing and future clients is, perhaps selfishly, the gift that keeps on giving.

Why should our clients choose you?

I know how it feels to be on the receiving end of a Personal Trainer and how it feels to feel a bit like a deer in a headlights when stepping foot in the weights section. Using my own personal experiences, I focus on what's right for you and how you can get the most out of what we do. I listen to you, your thoughts, where you want your plan to take you and anything else we need to ensure an enjoyable, safe and effective journey.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes - absolutely! No amount of distance should keep you from reaching your goals, we're in the 21st Century after all all!
