What inspired you to start your own personal training business?

I’ve always been passionate about fitness. At school my favourite lesson was PE, so initially I wanted to become a PE teacher. I went on to achieve the relevant qualifications I needed, but during university I started helping my friends at the gym. I soon realised that I wanted to help individuals feel happier and more confident in themselves. Personal training seemed like the obvious way to do this, so I worked at a gym in Liverpool while I gained additional qualifications. I then set up my own business and never looked back.

What other health/fitness services can you offer your clients?

I also have qualifications in nutrition, and can put together a diet plan to support my clients’ training programme. In addition, while I don’t offer sports massage or physiotherapy, through my work I have made connections with experienced and qualified physiotherapists, and can recommend them if my client needs any additional support. I also practise yoga, and am happy to include this as part of a cool down at the end of a session.

What experience do you have?

I have now been training my own clients across Liverpool for just over a year. During that time I’ve continued to study to gain more qualifications so that I can provide my clients with more and more services. I’m a qualified PT and now hold qualifications in nutrition too, which means I’m able to offer a full service when it comes to health and fitness.
