MY CAREER IN DESIGN, MARKETING, SALES AND LEAD GENERATION I am a graphic designer first and foremost having spent over 40 years in the design & advertising industry. A 2 year college course took me to my first junior position, over the next 6 years I passed through a number of Advertising Agency creative departments finishing as a Creative Director in a Birmingham based agency. After a couple of years there and with much encouragement from work colleagues and clients I set up my own design business. This grew gradually to become a significant and well respected agency naming The Royal British Legion, Haven Holidays, Anglian Water and The Red Cross amongst its clients. SALES & MARKETING EMPLOYED ROLES I closed my design business a few years ago to develop my skills around sales and marketing and in recent years have held management roles at 4 local businesses covering the Corporate Health & Wellbeing, Publishing, Skin Care and Repair Services sectors. SALES AND LEAD GENERATION A chance meeting in between jobs took me into the world of cold calling and lead generation. Very soon and because of my persistent, patient and mature approach to new business conversations I have clients from IT, Packaging, Venue Finding, Training, Business Coaching and Mentoring, Educational Recruitment and Communications and Event Delivery. BRAND ADVOCACY Brand, Company, Product and Service awareness has become my core business and I enjoy working with exceptional companies to help bring their business offering into the minds and awareness of potential customers. As we compete for the attention of others for the opportunity to talk and present our products and services I believe the written word and visual approach is becoming increasingly important, what we say and show has a very small window to make an impact and convert to increased traction along the sales journey. Make sure what your saying and showing maximises the opportunity. LOGO DEVELOPMENT WORK See some bespoke ideas before you invest. Choosing someone to work with on the strength of an email exchange and a few design samples which have no connection to your requirements is very difficult. I believe in my ability and have always ‘put my money where my mouth is’ so her is my offer to you. Try before you buy! 6 steps to a new brand. 1. I will take either a written or spoken brief from you detailing your logo/brand aspirations. 2. I will produce 3 logo examples to demonstrate to you how I work and think around your specific requirements. This work will be completed without financial risk to you. 3. These examples will be completed within 24/48 hours of your agreement to this process. 4. If you don’t like my approach and feel I’m not the right designer for you then we take it no further. 5. If you like what I have produced and we agree to continue working together then you make a good will payment of £75. 6. We agree the development work required to continue with the process and a value to take it to completion. You pay the second agreed fee once the logo is complete and has been delivered in the various file formats required. I am always happy to discuss work within a specific budget but my fees are in line with the Bark suggested costs guide lines.

My twin girls who will be 10 years old and my husband are having a combined garden party to celebrate. We have invited lots of family friends with children and would like to have two separate areas for them to play, toddlers bouncy castle/soft play and older kids bouncy castle/crafting activity area. We would like a party Entertainer for the children (open to ideas). We would love a hog roast and buffet and perhaps a bar area serving Pims and other drinks. In my mind I see small tepees with cushions and blankets and fairy lights in the trees. Plus hope to have some form of music later on?
