Nutritional therapy is an individual-centred approach to healthcare which employs evidence based information to assist clients optimise well-being through diet and lifestyle changes. Poor diet, lack of activity, inadequate digestion, physical injuries, increasing age, genetics and stress all have the ability to challenge nutritional status and promote various symptoms. Many clients are confused by conflicting advice within the media or exasperated by lack of support for their individual needs and find that Nutritional Therapy offers the guidance they need to make changes. For some just simple dietary changes are all it takes to achieve their objectives. Whereas other clients may need the additional support of functional tests such as stool analysis or detection of allergy or intolerances via serum testing to identify underlying issues, after which time steps can then be undertaken to help resolve issues and return the body to a state of balance. I have developed a particular interest in comprised digestion function, consequently to enhance my knowledge and ensure familiarity with all the latest evidence based research within this area I frequently attend seminars and conferences relating to this subject.

How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?

Food is not just for enjoyment and energy production, the nutrients found within it are the essential building blocks for our bodies to thrive.

What do you love most about your job?

I gain great satisfaction in knowing I can positively influence how people feel and know I am offering clients a pathway to greater vitality and wellbeing.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Past poor diet and lifestyle choices resulted in growing health problems in my 40's. The option of medications was not appealing so I made changes to my diet and reduced stress levels. Results of these changes made such a difference to my own health and wellbeing, I altered my career direction to study and practice nutrition.

Why should our clients choose you?

My past issues linked to diet and lifestyle enable me to relate to issues clients are undergoing and the level of training and experience I have gained over the last 10 years help me to assist others in achieving the benefits good nutrition and lifestyle changes can offer.
I am fully insured and a member of both BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy) and CNHC (Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council). Both bodies promote the highest standards of education, training and qualification within their members.
