Fraley Tutors Ltd

All of our tutors are top level Theoretical Physics students at the University of Manchester. We use our expertise to offer quality explanations for students, helping them find confidence and clarity in their learning. Zoom and Apple technologies are used to offer a revolutionary learning experience- lessons are interactive, colourful and personal and can be shared and annotated with ease. Exam questions and interesting problems are the focus of our lessons. In this context we make links between topics, allowing students to gain an overall deeper understanding of the subject. Importantly, we are a social, friendly group who strive to make our lessons both enjoyable and memorable. New this year, The Academic Hub is an intellectual space where all students with Fraley Tutors are able to ask questions (anonymously) to their tutors on demand and get quick reliable responses, extending the value of our service. These questions can be anything from past exam problems to general queries about maths or physics. Fraley Tutors is directed by Alex Fraley, winner of the John Wiley Prize (2019, 2nd highest performing 1st year student, School of Physics and Astronomy) and Hatfield-Heginbottom Scholarship (2021, highest performing 3rd year student, , School of Physics and Astronomy) at the University of Manchester.

What do you love most about your job?

Helping students to find genuine confidence in their understanding. Trying to force out exam results is often stressful and unrewarding, but working towards thorough understanding leaves both the students and our tutors with a much deeper satisfaction. Of course, exam results then follow - which is a nice bonus!

What inspired you to start your own business?

Years of face to face tutoring allowed to me realise the potential of interactive, online technologies when it came to one on one learning. This coupled with an ongoing education in maths and physics inspired me to give younger students a chance to upgrade their learning experience, and the depth of their knowledge.

Why should our clients choose you?

Our service thrives for two main reasons. The first is that our tutors are top level university students. This means that we are actively working and thinking about maths and physics, whilst also being able to connect with our students on a more personal level. The second is our outstanding technology. The interactive whiteboard allows us to design lessons, annotate exam questions and export our notes and so much more.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, lessons are hosted on Zoom, and all lessons notes are exported via email.
