Time to unwind

‘Me’ time

London life is exciting, but it can also leave you feeling a bit rushed from time to time. By treating yourself to a massage treatment, you can give yourself some much needed TLC. Reward yourself with some pampering and opt for a relaxing Thai massage. This ancient form of massage combines acupressure and assisted yoga postures to promote a relaxed state of mind and body. Or maybe a soothing Swedish massage is more up your street? After all, who could say no to a classic massage to work away any worries?

And breathe

Maintaining a happy body and mind means making time for you, so that you can promote your own wellness. Take time out from your busy London schedule to tend to your own health and wellbeing. An experienced massage therapist will help to work away any negative feelings and tension, leaving you feeling happier, healthier and more content.

A hot stone massage is the perfect way to encourage your own mental and physical health. If you’re expecting the arrival of a little one shortly, a pregnancy massage can give mothers-to-be gentle pampering to soothe joint discomfort and muscle pressure. With so many varieties available in London, Bark will help you find the right massage for you.

Little niggles

Maybe you’ve been under a lot of pressure at work lately and are looking to de-stress over the weekend. You might’ve overdone it at the gym or suffer from frequent lower back pain and are looking for some tension relief. Annoying aches, pains, and stress can be relieved and treated with the help of a professional massage.

A deep tissue massage will help to release chronic muscle tension and pesky knots that are causing you pain. While a full-body massage will soothe and relax. If you’re looking for injury prevention or want to get help putting you on the road to recovery, a sports massage may be the answer. Whatever you’re looking for, Bark can find the best London massage therapists for your needs.

How long does a massage treatment take?

Most of our massage treatments last 60 minutes, although you can choose to have a longer treatment that can last 90 minutes, or even two hours. A 60-minute massage normally means around 50 minutes of actual massage time, with the remaining 10 minutes being taken up with preparing for the treatment and a short consultation at the start.

What types of oils do you use?

I love to use sweet almond oil, as it’s completely natural and smells amazing. Jojoba oil is also one of my favourites, as it has antibacterial properties which can help to alleviate back acne and has a long shelf life. Because it doesn’t have a smell, jojoba oil can also be used as a carrier oil in my aromatherapy treatments, allowing me to make different oil combinations for a more personalised treatment.

What qualifications do you have?

I’ve got an International Massage Diploma which is CPD Certified. This allows me to practise massage therapy as a trained and fully qualified massage therapist. I cover all massage techniques used in the most common massage treatments, such as full body massage, sports massage, hot stone massage, back, and neck massage. I’m also currently working towards my BTEC level 6 Professional Diploma in Advanced Sports Massage Therapy.
