Massage Therapy

Stuart is an experienced massage therapist specialising in Swedish relaxation, deep tissue, sports, seated / chair massage and massage techniques. After 33 years of corporate roles (including M&S, GSK and London 2012) he retrained in 2021 as a Sports Massage Therapist through Sports Therapy UK based in Hertford gaining a VTCT Level 3 Diploma and is registered with and insured through the London and Counties Society of Physiologists (LCSP). He is based just west of London providing a mobile home visiting service and is now focused on building a local client base. Stuart has a background in the life sciences sector and has had an interest in sports massage therapy and sports science for a number of years. Another factor that influenced his decision to retrain as a sports massage therapist were his two teenage children (a singing/actor/dancing daughter and a tennis playing son) to assist and support them with their growth and development. His career highlight to date was working on the London 2012 Olympics and being part of the massive success that it was.

What do you love most about your job?

What I love about my work is being help people with the issues they may have, whether that be with pain management and the reduction pain or discomfort they are experiencing, increased mobility and flexibility or general relaxation and de-stressing leading to a better quality of sleep.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have had a deep interest in sport and human anatomy and physiology from a very early age and my role now allows me to combine both of these elements. In addition it helps me to assist and support my two teenagers (an acting/dancing and singing daughter and a tennis playing son) as they grow and develop in their respective activities.

Why should our clients choose you?

Clients should choose me as I am very personable, positive and communicative. I also adapt my style and technique to suit the client's individual needs and ensure that they obtain the maximum possible benefit from each treatment as possible, providing post treatment exercises and stretches to follow as appropriate.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

VTCT Level 2 Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Complimentary Massage and Sports Therapists certification
