Checked-in for a hot stone massage this morning for the first time at Devona. Lovely warm welcome by Gethin at reception who gave me a tour of the wonderfully tranquil facility. I was then greeted by Maria, my masseuse, lovely person who was very knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. The massage was extremely relaxing and exactly what I needed. As I finished up my PhD I suffered a trapped nerve in my shoulder. It knocked me right off my schedule. I couldn't type because of the limited movement. I couldn't concentrate because of the pain. I had the help of my GP and a physio, but I also called on Kevin Stewart and Helping Hands and it made a massive difference. Over the course of three visits, my movement returned and my pain reduced. My name is Ken Morton, I am the founder of KM Therapy and I am a Holistic Therapist. The idea of KM Therapy was born from combining my two passions in life - helping people and alternative medicine. I do things differently from the normal conventional healthcare model as I believe in indigenous alternative medicine. I look at the body holistically by assessing the physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological parts of your body and suggest improvements you can make to your body and your lifestyle. I am highly intuitive, which is a great gift, meaning I can see things that others can't and I use this skill in all my treatments to look at areas of your body that may be causing you distress. I offer face to face treatments in Peterhead and also offer sessions online.
I love the fact that everyday I am helping others with their health and often challenging their own perception of their well-being.
The idea was born out of my two passions in life - helping others and alternative medicine. Whilst appreciating the role of conventional medicine I love the variety and scope for alternative medicine and I'm keen to promote it as an alternative method to changing your perception of your own health.
For a start I'm male but also because I am different and I use different techniques. Some of my education was from the Amazon Rainforest where I learned to use traditional indigenous healing methods with a modern twist. I don't believe there are too many offering these services.
I can do both. All my services are available at a location that suits you and I have recently devised an online course called 'improving your health' which challenges your perception to your own health. This is a course that can be delivered globally online via Zoom.
For face to face appointments my treatment room is cleaned after each client and I conduct a deep clean once a week. I offer a safe and comfortable environment for all.
