My coaching experience before starting my own coaching business also spanned in excess of ten years implementing coaching principles and practices to the corporate world. In both business leadership and sales management roles, I was a multi award-winning leader of high performance teams managing multi-million pound businesses.
It was during this time that I burnt out becoming seriously ill juggling my many roles and responsibilities! I acknowledged I needed a career change to enable me to be the mum I wanted to be. My family and friends supported me through this difficult time in which I lost my sense of self, identity, purpose and direction. During my recovery, I realised there were many other mums suffering in the same way facing similar challenges; trying to balance the demands of careers and business, family, children, relationships and running a household to become what the 21st century terms a ‘supermum’.
Empowering Mums was born out of my positive and negative experiences, combined with my skills acquired during my time working in the corporate world. I have a real passion and sense of purpose from my own experiences to help make the lives of mums and mumpreneurs easier, more fulfilling and happier. As such I use my experiences both as a mum and mumpreneur to understand and empathise with the unique challenges motherhood can present.
