I went to Gemma to get help with my obsessive list making which was taking over my life! I was writing very long to do lists, both in and out of work, to try to gain some 'control' over what seemed like an increasing mountain of things to do. But rather than being helpful, the lists just caused anxiety and paralysed me into inaction.
Gemma listened attentively to what I was struggling with, and identified ways in which I was perpetuating that often without even knowing. We then had a single zoom session involving both neuro linguistic programming and hypnotherapy, which was really helpful in lessening the anxiety provoking way the lists were taking over my life. I still write lists, but less so compared to previously, and when I do they are helpful reminders rather than anxiety provoking and incapacitating. I no longer get that old sense of panic when I look at a to do list, and definitely react in a different and more healthy way to them now. Sometimes the old habits try to creep back in, but I can recognise them and quickly resume my new ways of thinking and behaving.

During Covid I moved totally remotely, now that we are able to be face to face again I make sure the room is cleaned after every client and hand sanitiser is always available.
