Sammie

Good Afternoon, I hope this message finds you well my names Sammie and new to this site ! :) I have over 8 years experience as a senior care assistant, hold an up to date DBS, first aid qualification, Manual handling & hoist certification, alongside my NVQ3 adult social care, duties within my role include, all elements of personal care, washing, dressing, showering & toileting, house work, general house up keep, preparing meals, administering medication, running errands & companionship. Over the years I have worked with a wide range of clients which include, dementia, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s & end of life care. I love what I do and I treat every client with the same level as respect as I treat my own parents, I thrive to over achieve and do all that I can to ensure your loved ones are not only looked after but I do my upmost to promote their independence and mental well being. I used to work for a big domiciliary care agency and stepped away after 6 years as I felt as a private individual I could offer more to the family, in terms of both care & support for the entire household. I also found that dealing with a family directly instead of going through all of these channels with an office team made a huge difference all for the better. I Am fully registered with CQC ( Love & Care ) I also hold a full UK clean licensee with business insurance, along side carers public liability insurance. Please see below 2 references can send more on request with contact numbers, I really hope to hear from you soon. Best wishes Sammie x References : ( I can send you direct contact information for the below references and more if needed) Mani Zarkesh: To whom it may concern I have known Sammie for about 18 months, we met through our appointment of homeinstead care agency for my mum. She was key carers for my mum and she set a very high standard for the others to follow. My dad absolutely loved her, and only wanted her to come! With mum she was gentle, kind, encouraging and loving. Sammie was one of the few carers that came into our home whom we could trust entirely to do what was necessary. We never needed to oversee what she did or how she did it. She is extremely proactive and very hardworking. I trusted her with the most valuable thing I have, my mum, and she never let us down. Sammie always put mum first, I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her. Kind regards Mandana 17 Fryth Mead St Albans Herts AL3 4TN To Whom it May Concern, Re: Samantha I am happy to furnish a reference for this lovely young woman who has been an excellent carer for my husband, Professor David Smallbone who has Parkinson’s disease of some seven years duration. We have employed Sammie since Mon 27 Aug and in that space of time she has worked 7 days a week, early morning and late evenings. Sammie always keeps good time, has never let us down, has been unfailingly cheerful and extremely hardworking. Sammie is the kind of carer who is an asset to the whole household because she will fill and empty dishwasher, put on washing, do ironing, make and change beds, make breakfast, go to the shop for milk - anything to be helpful. She keeps things spotlessly clean. My husband who was very wary of the need for a carer appreciates her cheerfulness and her attention to his wishes. She is respectful and does not patronise and now he would not be without her. For me it is no exaggeration to say she has been a life changer. I do not think we will ever find her equal and I cannot imagine anyone doing a better job. I know she has spare hours and I’m sure she can fit more in but the only thing I ask is please don’t steal her! Yours sincerely Margaret Smallbone

What do you love most about your job?

This isn't just a job, this is about love & kindness, and making a positive difference to someone's life who needs a helping hand at time of need, I love what I do and I'm proud of the difference myself and team make to our community.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Being on the front line as a career for previous big agencies led me to see the gaps and what was missing, there were no personal touches, office staff and managers lost sight of the person and became money driven rather than client focused, this led me to create my own team and apply for CQC Registration.

Why should our clients choose you?

Every Client has the right to choose their own agency / care provider, I will never bad mouth a competitor, All I can do is give you my word and prove to you through trust that I will get it right, I am also able to support with funding as I appreciate that care costs are increasing. To me it doesn't matter what your circumstances are you are still entitled to the best care, we will not compromise care for cost, you will be treated as part of our family are you will be looked after with dignity & respect and will remain central to everything we do. we offer a free oncall line so if ever there's a problem no matter what time of day or night it is we will be there to assist you.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

All staff members are fully vacinated, and all wear full PPE, staff are tested regularly, and clients keep the same careers. we also run in line with the Heath of England.
