What do you love most about your job?

Very few jobs give you the opportunity to do something you love, but teaching Bass, Guitar or Singing does. When you teach guitar you get to spend all day playing guitars, talking about guitars and best of all teaching guitar.

It’s not just about the guitars though. One of the biggest surprises to me was just how much I enjoyed helping people to learn. Seeing how happy and excited my students were when they mastered a new skill or technique can give you a great sense of fulfilment. Which believe me, is not something you get in every job.

I don’t think people are worried enough about finding a job they enjoy. Think about it, you spend a big part of your life working. 40, 50 or even 60 hours a week! And you’re probably going to be doing it until you are at least 70. That’s a lot of time to be doing something you hate. If you have the chance to spend that time doing something you love and get paid for it, you have a duty to yourself to devote all your energy into making your passion your job.

What inspired you to start your own business?

If you start and run your own music teaching business you won’t have a boss. You won’t have anyone to answer to. You won’t have checking up on and you won’t have someone telling you what to do all day. You are in complete control.

For some people this can be scary. They like the security of a normal job where you are told what to do and when to do it but for I'm a little more adventurous than that. There are lots of benefits to being self-employed but here a couple of my favourites.

When you teach bass, guitar or vocals you get to choose who you work with. In a normal job you get stuck with your colleagues for eight hours day without any say in it. In my job before I take on a new customer I make sure they’re someone I want to work with and I will enjoy spending time with them.

You also get to choose when you work. Don’t like getting up early? Then don’t start teaching until the afternoon. Don’t like working late? Then don’t book in any late lessons. Want to choose the exact date you go holiday? Then go ahead and book that holiday (just make sure you give your students plenty of notice as to when you won’t be teaching)

Why should our clients choose you?

1) I always try to listen to my students. At the end of the day, your teacher should be your guide, your mentor, your friend and he should be there to show you how to play as well as show you how to become a better you.

2) I am a dedicated full time professional teacher with an extensive live performance career around the globe

3) I always aim to inspire and give you the motivation and skills to become a fully rounded musician.
