I started playing guitar when I was 14 years old. I came back from a training camp in Italy and my Dad had bought my brother and I a couple of Argos acoustic guitars. They were far too big and the string were so far off the fretboard that they were barely playable. Nevertheless I was hooked instantly. I used to spend hours on www.ultimateguitar.com hunting down the chords and tabs for my favourite songs and learning how to play them. It didn't take me long before I started getting into some of the more serious players, playing at pubs and clubs in my local area and writing my own music. Things started to take off when I went to university in 2014 and started rubbing shoulders with people my own age and I started playing in bands and trios around the London scene. Since leaving university I have started my career as a professional musician playing weddings, birthdays, care homes as well as gigging with my own band and working as a session guitarist on other artists' tracks. I've been extremely fortunate in the amount of guitar that I've been able to play over the last 11 years, however I made a lot of mistakes along the way which I feel would have been avoidable if I'd had someone to help me along the way; a teacher perhaps. So here's what I can offer you. I have over 10 years of real playing and performing experience in a number of styles and would love to share your musical journey with you and give you all the tricks, tips and advice that I wish that someone had given me when I started out. I don't believe any of us ever truly master a musical instrument, but if, like me, you find yourself in need of advice, direction, or you just want to learn some cool riffs and licks on the guitar, then I look forward to hearing from you.

What do you love most about your job?

I've always loved teaching. I get a real buzz off of seeing someone's face light up when they understand something that they didn't before or are able to play something that they previously couldn't. Someone's musical journey is a very personal thing and so to get to be a part of that journey is a truly special experience.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My dad got made redundant 3 times in 1998 and decided to start his own business and has never looked back. There's something I've always respected about that and strived to do the same. I also like being able to make my schedule as well, which means that I'm able to make time for those I love when they need me.

Why should our clients choose you?

Guitar is my passion. It's the first thing I do when I wake up and it's the last thing I do before I go to bed. It's brought me an immeasurable amount of joy over the years and which bleeds into every facet of my life including teaching it to others.

I also like to keep thing 100% open and honest. If I don't feel like I can help you for whatever reason, I will do everything I can to refer you onto someone who can. Your musical journey is your musical journey I'd like to help in whatever way I can, even if that means not being a part of it myself.

So wherever you are on your guitar, if you feel like you could use a hand, some advice, or even just a second pair of ears on your playing, I'm more than happy to help!
