A warm welcome, Welcome, I am a counsellor who's specialises in working with those experiencing loss through both family estrangement/alienation and bereavement. I have carried out intensive training around both issues . Life can seem extremely difficult at times as we may face situations that are challenging to deal with on our own. This can leave us feeling quite vulnerable and alone in the world, and may be caused by situations that seem out of our control. We may desperately want to feel heard and validated but need someone other than friends or family to talk to. We may be comparing ourselves to others and struggling with who we really are or where we want to be in life. Together we can explore the emotions you are feeling, I will help you to unravel all the sad and negative thoughts that keep ruminating within you and that are giving you those difficult feelings to deal with. I will offer you somewhere safe and non-judgemental to explore the concerns you are experiencing. We can work together to make sense of what is happening in your world so you are able to feel less alone and able to move forward with your own life. We will work at a pace that feels safe for you and gives you that opportunity to have your feelings validated. How I work I use a combination of 'Cognitive Behavioural Therapy’, 'Person Centred therapy' and ‘Life Coaching’ but more importantly I go with what feels right for the client. My approach involves offering some direction as I feel as well as listening and exploring what the client is going through it helps to move the client on by using direction. Clients I work with I work with clients from the age of 11 years and upwards. In addition to this, I also offer couples counselling to those that may be undergoing problems within their relationship as well as couples who wish to look at ways in ending their relationship more amicably which is extremely helpful if there are children involved. Organisations I belong to: • Accredited member of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society As well as my counselling qualifications I have also qualified as a ‘Life Coach’. I feel in having my ‘Life Coaching’ qualification I am able to offer my clients extra support and empowerment in moving forward. I set up a private practise in Fareham, Hampshire some years back but now work all over the UK and abroad online

What do you love most about your job?

I love seeing my clients grow and move on to happier lives, I feel honoured to be able to share their journey and I enjoy getting such positive feedback from my clients

What inspired you to start your own business?

Why I became a counsellor
Before I became a counsellor, I spent many years working in the care sector, this included working within palliative care, secure mental health units, elderly care, education learning disabilities etc. Through gaining this experience it became apparent how those who were struggling with everyday life really needed someone to listen to them in a safe non-judgmental empathetic environment which made me look at a career in counselling. I have also been through various experiences in my own life that I feel has made me want to turn these experiences in to positive ones by assisting those that are going through challenging times
I enjoy counselling so much so I chose to set up my own business which I thoroughly enjoy.

Why should our clients choose you?

Feedback I have had from my clients is that I am warm, empathic and pass no judgment. They feel they can open up fully to me and by having counselling it has made them feel empowered and more in control of their life

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I now work online for the safety of clients and myself
