As a qualified Counsellor, I can share with you, a regular time and safe space, where you feel able to bring whatever it is that you need to bring, at a pace that suits you. I will listen and respond without judgement and be genuine with you. Sometimes I might challenge you to be curious or other times hold fast as you explore inner depths, but always with an awareness that you are the expert on yourself. I have experience of helping people that are struggling with: Abuse Affairs and betrayals Anxiety Asperger's syndrome Attachment disorder Autism Bereavement Bullying Career Work-related stress Carer support Chronic fatigue syndrome/ME Depression Dissociation Domestic violence Emotional abuse Family issues Feeling sad Low self-confidence Low self-esteem Miscarriage Physical abuse Pregnancy and birth Redundancy Relationship issues Self-harm Separation and divorce Sexual abuse Sexuality Stress Suicidal thoughts Trauma Sometimes in this fast paced life we lose track of who we are and what we genuinely want for ourselves, it's easy to become overwhelmed and stuck. I work with people that know what they want to work on and others that don't. In my practice it is my aim to offer you a space where you can begin to unpick what is happening for you, even if you don't know. Though it often doesn't feel like it, I believe that each person is unique and has an innate ability towards healing and in my role as your counsellor, I will endeavour to journey alongside you as you discover this for yourself. Contact me today for a 30 minute free meeting, a chance for us to meet and explore in more detail what is going on for you. Use my online booking system to arrange a free 30 minute consultation at time that suits you. https://centredcounselling.com/pricing/

What do you love most about your job?

I love being able to support people to safely unravel what is going on for them, to develop a trusting relationship that builds self esteem and confidence. When people come in unsure sometimes of what it is they need, and working alongside them as they find their way to a clearer happier future. I enjoy supporting people to know what they didn't think they knew, to make choices or changes they might not of known they could. To perhaps enjoy life in way they haven't for a while.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I am a Person Centred Counsellor, this means for me that I am led in part by the client, if they need time to establish trust and feel safe, then I feel it is important that they be able to have that time. It can be very difficult to ask for help and approach a counsellor and it takes time to build a relationship especially if there have been attachment or trauma earlier in life. Starting my own private practice means I can offer this to people, if you want 2 sessions that is fine, if you want 100 sessions that is fine, and if you dont know what you want, that is also fine. You are at the centre of all the work and your autonomy is paramount.

Why should our clients choose you?

Choosing a counsellor is incredibly important, regardless of what approach they offer, studies show it is the quality of the relationship that contributes most to client improvement and change. Therefor clients should choose me if they like what they see on my website, what they read here or on my facebook page, if they feel I might be the right counsellor for them. Feel free to contact me, it might help you get a better sense of how I work and who I am.
