Life House Therapy

I work with any form of emotional difficulties, from losing direction in life to bereavement or loss. I am passionate about working with family members who have been affected by the mental health of another or struggling with caring responsibilities. I am a fully qualified counsellor, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy to maintain the highest standards. I get to work with you, to become the best version of you and I couldn’t imagine anything better! Offering both short and long term counselling. I will be led by you, in the direction that you would like to go and I have the belief that you know exactly where that is. I offer face-to-face counselling sessions from my calming practice based in Southchurch. A full COVID protocol is in place to ensure your safety and will be emailed prior to our first session together. I also provide the option for sessions to be held via Zoom or WatsApp call, to adapt to your requirements. Sessions will be 50 minutes long and it is usually most effective to maintain the same time each week. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. If for any reason you do not feel connected to my profile, or I do not have availability, I can refer you to other therapists within my private practice. www.lifehousetherapy.co.uk. At Life House Therapy, we offer a range of therapy and counselling services, aimed at helping you become the best version of you. If you are feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands, have had a difficult life event, or, would simply like to talk to someone impartial - please get in touch! Our tranquil therapy room is set in Southchurch Village and provides a calm and neutral space for you to work on what is important to you. We also offer telephone and on-line counselling to adapt in the changing times. Our team have been carefully selected and checked, to provide you a professional service. Choosing a therapist can be a difficult choice, if you find someone that you feel drawn to, simply tell us on your initial enquiry. If you would like to explain a little bit about what your concern or aim is, we can also match you to the therapist or therapy that we feel is most fitting.

What do you love most about your job?

I simply love the connection my job brings. I feel privileged to be the person that gets to work through some of the most difficult and confusing times in someones life. I am passionate about working with you to discover what is holding you back, what you would like to change and how to get there.

What inspired you to start your own business?

It has always been a vision to provide a space where people can come and receive an individual and tailored service. Working in the city, feeling the stress and strain of modern-day expectations, I decided to retrain and become a Qualified Counsellor.

Every last person is unique, therefore, how could their needs or road to being the best version of themselves be a ‘one fits all’ process? I opened LifeHouse Therapy to provide a variety of avenues to work towards becoming a better you.

All of our therapists are fully qualified and checked - so that you don't have to.

Why should our clients choose you?

Maybe you shouldn't? I truly believe that the Therapeutic Relationship is key to you being able to navigate through a difficult time or a life change. Trust and feeling a connection with the chosen Therapist is paramount. Please feel free to explore all of our therapist profiles here https://www.lifehousetherapy.co.uk/#team

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, we provide telephone or online counselling via Zoom.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Covid 19 Safety Protocol for Face to Face Counselling

Sessions

It has been a difficult time for everybody and we have all had to find new ways of working and operating within the restrictions placed on us by Covid-19

Symptoms

You will only keep your in-person appointment if you are symptom-free. If you have symptoms of Covid-19 (eg cough, shortness of breath, fever of 38 degrees upwards, chills, muscle ache, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell) you agree to cancel the appointment or proceed using an online platform either Zoom, WhatsApp Video or telephone.

Prior to your session

All clients will be required to wash their hands prior to sitting down. This can be done in the toilets within or using a hand sanitiser.

The room

The room will be set up to ensure a minimum of 1.5 metres between chairs and, where possible, this distance is observed at all times – both when entering and when exiting the room.

We are unable to provide tissues and refreshments and would encourage you to attend your session with both of these items – even if you think you may not need them.

Prior to your arrival in the room, all surfaces, including the chairs and the touchpoints, such as door handles, have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Soft furnishings such as cushions will be removed.

Please feel free to wear any protective equipment such as masks and/or gloves etc – this is completely optional.

I would ask that where there is no physical contact at all at any point before, during or after the session. To avoid contact payment should be made via bank transfer
