Choosing a CCTV Installer

How much does CCTV Installation cost?

This will vary according to the number of cameras and the make and model of the cameras you choose. Prices will increase if you have a listed building, multiple stories or a commercial premise.

CCTV installation can help reduce your insurance premiums so while it’s an investment, it will help prevent burglary and give you peace of mind whilst in the home or on holiday.

An average house is likely to have four cameras.
A block of flats is likely to have approximately 12 cameras.
A commercial development could have up to 64 cameras.

As previously mentioned, the cost will vary depending on the type of home or commercial property you have, the amount of labour involved and your location. The general rule of thumb is that the more cameras you have, the greater the cost.

Your expert CCTV installer will be able to advise you on the full range of cameras available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a CCTV installer to secure your home today.

What additional CCTV features are available?

There are a number of additional features which you might like to consider when considering CCTV installation for your home or property.

CCTV is a great way to deter potential burglars and is a great way to gather evidence if you need to present evidence in court. The subject needs to be no less than 120% of the screen so it is important to choose an appropriate security system.

Many systems also use night vision for completely pitch black areas of your house so it would be worth taking the advice of the CCTV professional on the best coverage for your home.

It is possible to set up a system whereby the CCTV system records continuously to give you peace of mind throughout day and night time.

CCTV cameras can also be linked to smartphones such as iPads and iPhones and be viewed in real-time so you can view your home at any time and anywhere.

What should I consider before deciding on CCTV Installation?

Our list of local CCTV installers can advise on the best CCTV system for your needs within your budget. Here are some aspects that are important to consider for your home security.

It’s good to consider how visible or discreet you want the cameras. Many people have their cameras very visible as the very presence of cameras will put off most burglars and other intruders.

Cameras need to be pointing in the correct direction for your needs and covering the parts of the house that matter most to you. There must also be no blind spots around the house such as dark alleyways or reflections.

Your local professional will work to your budget and ensure that you get the best value for money and install the best service that caters for your needs.

In addition, they can help you set up viewing and storage options so that you are able to view the camera and recordings.

You can be confident that any of the Bark local CCTV installers listed will help you secure your home and give you peace of mind.

What should I look for in a CCTV Installer professional?

Before you choose a CCTV professional, you could take a look for qualifications and memberships from the Institute of Sound and Communication Engineers, Confederation of Aerial Industries, NICEIC and City & Guilds.

Before choosing a professional, you may also want to ask for examples of past work, which could include images of different types of CCTV that they have installed in the past. You could also look at their profile page on Bark, and Bark can show you CCTV installer reviews from past customers too, as well as examples of work that they have completed. This might also help you get some ideas for the kind of cameras you might like and the level of security you need for your property.

What can I expect to pay for CCTV Installation?

On average, CCTV Installation will cost between £300 - £500. Although, this is variable depending on different factors, such as the type of property and your specific CCTV requirements.

What do you love most about your job?

The love for my job is many things, there isn’t anything that’s very specific! Helping a customer get back up and running with their device no matter what it is gives me joy! If I can help I will, I will even go out my way to fix it if I know there is a way to do so, no matter if it takes time, it’s all about pleasing the customer and about their wants and needs. If we are not able to fix a device in a timescale in which the customer would prefer, we do not string them along as at the end of the day this is not what my company has been built into.

What inspired you to start your own business?

There is no right answer in this question, but it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a difference and build something of your own. Not to say that you can’t start multiple businesses of the original one up but starting your ever first one just gives you an exciting feeling like never before. I am a technician and know how to fix multiple devices, and so I want to help other people transition their lives and be able to learn how to do these things, even if they believe they are not capable; anyone is capable of anything if they set their minds to it.

Why should our clients choose you?

Your clients should choose us as Device Revive is a very flexible company, we have other structures when it comes to fixing someone’s device/s. regarding our flexibility we offer the option to travel to you if it is no longer than an hour’s travel, however we make exceptions sometimes if needed. We like to have this feature as not everyone has other options, or they do not have the accessibility to travel to us as we are based in Plymouth.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, we certainly can do this. Please do get in touch if this is the case.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

As COVID-19 is no longer an obligation regarding social distancing we do not have anything in place regarding this. However, if any customer we are going to visit or comes into the store we are happy to oblige on wearing face masks if this is something the customer would prefer. But this must be aligned prior to a visit if the customer requires this.
