Wow what can we say !!! Michelle and her team made our special day perfect. The food was just as we asked for and absolutely fantastic - guests still talk about the feast she provided. Michelle served up a full roast dinner with 3 different choices of meat, Yorkshire puds and steaming gravy that was 5 star food in presentation and taste. There was also canapes, chocolate brownies with hot chocolate sauce, strawberries and cream and all of this in a field with a generator !!!!!! But apart from fantastic food it was the whole presentation and management of the day with drinks always flowing and perfect timing for everything,. Michelle made our day - cannot recommend her enough.

We are outside caterers that specialise in providing succulent spitroasts and barbecues for any occasion; we are not a part-time business but a full time professional all year round service which has been in business since 2004. Most of our business is providing hogroasts for private events - weddings, anniversaries and birthdays not only in private gardens and locations but also at local hotels and venues both within, and on the edges of, the New Forest. We source our hogs, lamb, meats, rolls and any extras from local sources - my local butcher, local baker and local caterer provide almost everything we offer and, if required, we can provide organic and New Forest Marque products where available. We attend various public events through the year, a number of village fairs and the Rotary Summer Spectacular in Lymington which is one of our biggest events of the year with a footfall of around 5000 people through the gates each year. We have been integral in providing our services for our local hospice - Oakhaven Hospice, not only at various fundraising events through the years - Colour Run, Midnight Walk, Family Day, Santa Dash, but also, in 2017, as part of their 25th Anniversary celebrations. Once the bonfire night events are over, we head towards the Christmas Fairs in Lymington, Pennington, Brockenhurst and Ringwood towns which we attend annually and are a good opportunity to see our setup and taste our products. We offer a variety of services - a full service hogroast, lambroast and/or barbecue which we cook on site and offer as a buffet service to your guests; our DIY option is a roaster with spitted hog or lamb, delivered to you ready to be cooked on site and offers you the opportunity to meet the challenge and have the fun of cooking, carving and serving your own hog- or lambroast; our third option is to hire our equipment without any meats which allows you to provide you own hog. lamb or meats. The DIY and hire options come with a offer for us to clean the equipment afterwards, removing the next-day drudgery from the enjoyment of your celebration. Working with another local well-known caterer, we are able to widen our services to offer canapés, salads, desserts and vegetarian options and working with a local equipment hire company, we can provide items for hire - crockery, cutlery, table chairs linen etc; if you want to know if we can do it, do please ask and I can let you know one way or the other. Most of our business is hogroasts - we don't just cook pigs to feed people, we offer succulent hot food, cooked with a care and expertise which comes from years of experience, our full-time focus and a passion for ensuring a quality outcome. If we had to be specific then we would say a Morroccan Lamb Mechoui/Meshwe but we don't really do enough of them to qualify as a signature dish.
We like to meet with our clients to discuss their requirements; we want to discuss the whole day, where the food fits into the day and how the service might work; we can often make suggestions which come for our experience of events.
Every year I have people tell me that ours is the tastiest hogroast they have ever tasted; at least half of what I do every year is repeat business. It is a very good feeling knowing that I am able to meet and, more often than not, exceed people's expectations and it such a buzz being part of those important once in a lifetime celebrations and contributing to that memory.
I had been working in leisure and hospitality for a number of years and started working part-time with a local caterer running hogroasts for them, largely for the fun of it. As a South African the braai (barbecue) is so much a part of life and when the opportunity came to buy a roaster and start a business I jumped at it.
Our unique selling point (USP) is that we run our spitroast business full-time and all year round, this is not a part-time business. All our energy goes into ensuring that our clients receive the service that they expect, hence the number that continue to use our services, year on year; one of our clients has been holding their annual events and using our services since 2005! We are professional, flexible and approachable and will do whatever we can to make sure your celebration meets or exceeds your expectations - it might be the biggest and most important celebration of your life!
