Hope and success Online Therapy & Counselling

Hope and success Online Therapy & Counselling

Hope and success Online Therapy & Counselling is verified Certificate of Excellence 2019

Hi and welcome to my profile. You are likely to be looking for help for something in life which is bothering you and that is why you have reached my profile. If that is the case, Well done!!! It is often hard for a lot of us to be motivated enough to reach out for help, but it is a important and vital part of getting helped. So you have taken the first step in the right direction! I would be glad to hear from you to see if I can help you. "What to expect in your first session" I have a flexible approach to our sessions, I offer brief intervention work for short term problems which may be a reaction to a life event. Longer term therapy for difficulties you may have been experiencing over a long period of time. Our sessions will last for 50 minutes. "How my approach can help you" I am not stuck down to a specific method of therapy, rather I make use of a potpourri of skills and training which I have studied and trained in over the years, and base my choice of methods used in each case upon my experience and the particular case at hand. You are unique and so deserve a unique approach too. I enjoy being creative at my work. At the same time I believe the relationship you will build with me is at least as important as the theory that underlies the work. "Skype Therapy" I offer therapy through Skype. Attending therapy online can offer a lot of benefits. Some clients are shy to go to the office of the therapist and are more comfortable online without being physically present at the therapist's office. You may also have time constraints or geographical limits (kids at home or work hours) and so online therapy can enable you to still receive the help you want so much. You can also choose the location where you want to be for the session, enabling you to stay at home or free to choose a convenient secure place I try to be as flexible as possible with suiting my times to my clients. That is possible due to the sessions taking place online and not in my office. The prices for therapy over Skype are also usually cheaper due to lower costs for the therapist. I realise that some people might still be wary of therapy over skype and therefore I offer a first session for free, with no obligation to continue. Looking forward to hearing from you and feel free to send me a message with anything you would like to discuss. I am happy to offer a free initial session for us to get a feel of each other and to discuss a treatment plan.

H-EAL & Believe Equine assisted learning and life coaching

H-EAL & Believe Equine assisted learning and life coaching

I offer both equine assisted or 1:1 sessions, which can be tailored to a clients needs. Life coaching speaks for itself, helping individuals or groups to promote physical, occupational and emotional growth. Focusing on helping a person overcome obstacles and empowering them to make, meet or even exceed personal or professional goals. Anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues, anger management, addiction, personal life and career changes are just a few areas that can be improved. What is equine therapy? Equine-assisted therapy typically involves a horse, a therapist and a horse expert. This team will work with individuals or groups to help them discover more about themselves and develop new ways of thinking. The role of the therapy team is to guide the individual or group along the way, encouraging them to reflect on their experiences and what it means to them. After an initial consultation, a set of exercises will be carried out according to the needs of the person taking part. Equine-assisted therapy can help with many issues and is considered to be especially helpful for those who want to change elements of their behavior. What happens in an equine therapy session? There is normally no horse riding involved, and if you don't want to - you don't even have to touch the horse. Various exercises are set up to help you think and act in ways you may not have thought of before. Normally the exercises will require you to interact with the horse; you may be asked to lead the horse over a series of obstacles or to lead it in a certain direction - often without the aid of a lead rope. This kind of exercise requires a creative way of thinking and may force you to reconsider the way you act. The horse expert will be on hand to ensure everything is safe, however, you will not be told how to complete your task - it is up to you to explore different methods. After you complete the exercises, your therapist will talk to you about your experience. Discussing how the exercise made you feel and why you think you were successful or unsuccessful can lead you to learn more about yourself and your behavior. Over time you may find that you develop a bond with the horse, and this in itself can be incredibly powerful. Horses do the work of teaching and healing through a variety of equine assisted applications which include education (both classroom and experiential), youth at risk programs, alcohol & drug recovery programs, holistic health programs, mental health counseling, coaching, and workplace training. Individuals find learning with horses powerful, reflective & rewarding, I have worked in schools for 16 years also and you will find me to be very friendly, open minded, relaxed & non judgmental.

P.Gill TherapyServices

P.Gill TherapyServices

P.Gill Psychotherapy Services. A counselling service that specialises in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, based In South Yorkshire. What is CBT Therapy ? CBT focuses on how your irrational thoughts( beliefs ) determine your feelings and affects your choices of your actions and behaviour. The focus of the therapy is to eliminate disorders such as depression, anxiety, OCD and phobias as well as other disorders. The aim is to change your thinking and emotions to allow more positive thoughts which in turn produce more helpful feelings and behaviours. As a therapy, CBT can uncover reasons why a person might experience negative thoughts, anxiety, depression or fear and then challenge and eventually change them. CBT is considered one of the most effective therapies for treating a wide variety of illnesses and disorders . In fact research shows that CBT is considered one of the most successful therapies. CBT is based on the theory that it is not events themselves that upset you, but the meanings you attach to them. This can start to cause you problems if you continue to hold on to the same thoughts and patterns of behaviour while failing to see the alternative explanation. CBT aims to show you ways of changing negative thoughts and composing alternative ways of thinking about your situation, all of which will make you feel better. What can CBT treat ? 1. Stress 2. Depression 3. Anxiety 4. Anger 5. Sleeping problems 6. Guilt 7. Chronic fatigue 8. Mood swings 9. Childhood problems 10. Relationship breakups 11. Phobias 12. Panic disorders 13. Post traumatic stress 14. Obsessive compulsive disorder 15. Bulimia 16. Chronic non –malignant pain 17. Impotence 18. Sexual problems 19. Traumatic experiences Cognitive behavioural therapy is not a quick fix or an instant miracle cure, but one of the greatest benefits of CBT is that you can continue to use the skills in future situations to prevent escalating spirals of negative thought. If you are thinking about embarking on a course of CBT sessions, then contact me now for more information on how I can help you on 07889409318 I look forward to helping you. I offer telephone, Skype and home counselling. P.Gill Therapy Services Info@pgilltherapy.com Tel: 07889409318

Remember are under no obligation to book a further session with me following this meeting. I could offer you other suggestions, or of course you may wish to take some time to think and reflect. I understand how difficult it may feel to be considering exploring your feelings and experiences with a stranger. This is not unusual, some describe it as overwhelming to consider or scary to make the first contact. However something I hear most often is that after our first meeting there is as a huge relief and it's something they wish they had done a long time ago. I assure you I'll walk your path with you with great care, compassion, understanding, and importantly, at your pace. This will be your space, nobody else's. At times, we have an experience we find difficult or traumatic. Sometimes we find ourselves impacted by historical factors. Or, things just seem to build up and we realise we've been struggling for longer than we thought and decide something needs to change. Therapy may help support you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, how to make sense of your feelings or help you find a way forward. The fact you are looking to do this, is a really big step, and I understand and value this. I’d like to help you find a way to cope or move forward. I'd like to empower you and feel more in control. I'm located minutes from the A63, just off Hessle Road and Boulevard which is easily accessible by car, on foot or bus. There are ample free parking facilities and my practice is based in an anonymous and confidential setting. My training and background have focused on Humanistic Models of Gestalt, Person Centred and Transactional Analysis. I work as an integrative therapist and can also incorporate Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioural Techniques (CBT),Neuro Linguistic Programming(NLP) and mindfulness into our work. Together we will look at which approach will benefit you most, for your aim and struggles. How long will it take? You know what, I can't tell you that right now, I haven't met you yet. What I do know is some things can be worked through in short term work, some things over several months, or years. We really are all different, as are our experiences. This is something we could discuss during our initial appointment. It's important we explore your experiences, your situation and your feelings. Then, together, we can start to consider a way forward for you. My experience is that relationship and trust between a client and their therapist is essential, and most important in terms of growth or progress. I am offering you a safe, compassionate and confidential time to be who you are, where I can help enable you to achieve your desired outcome, goal or a new way of being in the world. I would encourage you to contact me, in complete confidence to help you decide if you you may like to work with me. Providing a safe and confidential counselling service based from an central office in Scarborough. I provide general counselling plus Relationship and Psychosexual therapy for couples and individuals either by face to face or via webcam. In relationship counselling I aim to help couples find creative solutions to their differences and problems . This is done by identifying core issues, examining communication patterns, finding new ways to be emotionally close, and developing realistic ways to solve problems. Although my role may seem to be to help partners stay together, sometimes this just isn’t possible. If you both come to the decision that it is best for you both to separate I can help you to explore how you can do this together. Psychosexual Therapy - Whether you have been diagnosed by your GP with a dysfunction or you just feel that there is a problem that needs help, having an assessment to see if PST will be suitable for you would be a first step. Sometimes PST isn’t always the answer; couple therapy may be needed first and then PST may follow. The process is an initial assessment appointment, followed by taking further assessments with each partner individually. The next step is to decide if PST would be suitable for you or if there would be another service more appropriate. I sometimes speak to a client’s GP if medication or on-going tests are needed before a diagnosis for treatment is made. All tasks are to be carried out in the privacy of your own home. The PST therapy is a talking therapy only. You will never be asked to be examined either. If it is felt that an examination would be needed it will be up to you to see your own GP or nurse. Please visit my website for further details on my services

Why not try sharing your problems with someone who will listen and not judge, who is willing to support you to overcome your anxiety? I offer a gentle and compassionate, confidential and caring service. I like to think of my practice as a safe haven for counselling advice. When we are struggling with our mental health problems we often go to family or friends for support and this helps. But sometimes when things become too overwhelming even for them to help, we all need somebody unbiased and professional to turn to. Especially when life-long problems are concerned. I work with people who have depression, anxiety or eating disorders, and other issues, no matter how passing or enduring. I help people get through their problems in an understanding, non-judgemental, safe way, whilst maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality. I work as a psychotherapist for local charities and in the NHS. I see young people, adults, couples and families and on a short-term or long-term basis, depending on the presenting issue. I abide by the code of Ethics of Scarborough Psychotherapy Training institute (ScPTI). This means I offer complete confidentiality – I keep everything the client tells me to myself, except if there is a risk to the client’s life or somebody else’s. I receive fortnightly clinical supervision so that I can offer a service that is based on clinical guidance and best practice. I also have full indemnity insurance cover and an Enhanced Criminal Record Check. I am an Advanced Trainee Gestalt Psychotherapist. I studied in Scarborough, and started my training in 2009. I am now working towards accreditation with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. I also offer therapy via skype, Facetime or telephone.

Michelle Shanley psychotherapy and counselling

Michelle Shanley BA (Hons), Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling, Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. Thank you for taking the time to read my page. About Me I understand that making the decision to speak to someone about our problems can be daunting. My approach to therapy is everyone has the capacity to change if they want to and everyone is as OK as everyone else. I believe in this ethos and it underpins my work with people. You could come and see me for one session and use the experience to help decide if you would like to begin therapy or I would be happy to have an informal chat over the phone or by e-mail to help you make a decision. I work with individuals, couples and groups and I have a therapy room at my home in Hutton Cranswick. This ensures discretion and confidentiality for you. I believe I can help people with ranging difficulties; you may not be able to express them in words but feel dissatisfaction in one or several areas of your life. I have particular understanding of working with people who have experienced childhood trauma. I have had personal therapy myself and so know what that experience was like for me. At times I found it difficult but I am so glad I have as I have explored myself within my world and feel far more grounded and content as a result. I think that an understanding of myself is essential when working with others. compassionate, respectful and empathic, I work using the model Transactional Analysis, the ethos of which is everyone has the capacity to think and change.
