Adam Lukeman, LCSW

My name is Adam Lukeman and I am a psychotherapist practicing in NYC. Throughout my time providing therapy, I've seen how much hurt and disappointment can exist in everyday life. However, I've also witnessed first-hand that even the most serious problems can be overcome - and how this is possible. I am sought out by couples and individuals who are seeking improvements in their lives which are clearly recognizable. I provide guidance and tools which will help you feel relief from your problems, and help you feel good about your life.

Janet Greenwood Counselling

I am a fully qualified, highly skilled and experienced Senior Accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Supervisor with 15-years experience of working with clients across a broad spectrum covering a wide range of issues such as, relationship problems, depression, stress (work related and personal) anxiety, bereavement, abuse, sexuality, identity, and many other personal matters. Individuals know what is best or good for them; it is inherent in all of us. Sometimes, we lose sight of this and begin to think and feel in a negative or irrational way.   We lose our ability to resolve our own, personal issues and cease to live in a positive and productive way. We begin to make poor choices and decisions. We can feel depressed, anxious, trapped, confused, isolated, empty and lost. I have extensive experience of working with many clients, over 12,000 contact hours. People come to see me for a variety of reasons, I am here to help you work through your difficulties in a confidential and therapeutic space. I also have almost ten-years experience as a Counselling Supervisor . How I Can Help You. My role is to build a therapeutic relationship and to offer you a confidential, warm and safe environment where you are able to talk openly and freely. My aim within the therapeutic relationship is to help you increase your potential, make better choices and find meaning and purpose within your life. You can learn how to manage negative and distressful thought patterns and behaviours. I provide a professional, confidential service that fits your needs and enables you to be able to talk openly in a relaxed and confidential environment. I provide a non-judgmental, pressure free space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and begin to make sense of your world. You can develop a clearer understanding of who you are and find a resolve to your internal conflict and live a more resourceful life. I'm here to help you explore, understand and manage your difficulties so that you can begin to feel a greater sense of well-being. Each one of us has the resources within ourselves to cope and to bring about change. I offer encouragement and support throughout this process. I will be working with you and helping you to identify with yourself once again. If we stop and think about our own thoughts and feelings we can see that they are ever changing as we constantly change and grow. I employ various counselling approaches that enables me to work eclectically with each person moment by moment. I have worked within the Third Sector for many years, the Primary Care Trust (NHS) Connexions, schools, GP's surgeries and in private practice. Deborah Bennett Counselling

Professional counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples. Offering help and support with a wide range of issues, I am fully registered (BACP) and have specialist qualifications in relationship, and bereavement counselling. Individual Counselling I recognise that people come to counselling for all sorts of reasons, and have different strengths and weaknesses. Whether you are looking for help with anxiety, depression, panic disorders or workplace stress, as an Integrative counsellor, I am able to tailor my approach to your needs. Relationship Counselling I work with relationship problems whether you come as a couple or as an individual, and regardless of sexual orientation, gender, religion or ethnicity. People come looking for solutions to all sorts of relationship difficulties - problems building relationships, pregnancy, financial problems, intimacy, workplace, trust, etc. My job is to keep sight of your relationship’s needs, allowing space and time to work on communication and problem solving. Usually, I offer an initial exploratory session to discuss what you want from counselling and gather some information. Occasionally, I may want to see a couple separately for a short time, so that they each have space and privacy to be open and honest. We will then reassess and decide together how the sessions will work. Bereavement Counselling Grief is a completely natural process but sometimes we struggle to move forward. The effects can be physical as well as emotional - fatigue, depression, numbness and guilt are all typical 'symptoms' of grief and loss. Family and friends often don’t know what to do or say, or offer unhelpful advice, and we are left feeling isolated and wondering how long this will go on or if it never ends. It is at this point that bereavement counselling can help. I will work with you to help you understand what is happening, and to find the resources that lie within you, so that you can cope and begin to rebuild your life. I know that the death of a pet can be every bit as devastating as any other bereavement, and will work with respect and understanding.
