Feisal has worked in the complementary therapies industry for over seventeen years. His approach to hypnotherapy and complementary therapies is calm and friendly, he inspires confidence in his clients to enable them to relax and maximise the benefits of these treatments. He has successfully helped individuals to overcome anxiety and stress related problems, give up smoking, control their weight problems, and relieve muscular aches and pains experienced in their everyday activities. The Person-Centred Approach is a humanistic approach that deals with the ways in which individuals perceive themselves consciously rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconscious thoughts or ideas. As a counsellor and psychotherapist I use this approach to understand an individual's experience from their point of view. As a counsellor and psychotherapist I positively value the client as a person in all aspects of their humanity, while aiming to be open, non-judgmental and genuine. I believe this approach is best because the person-centred approach has three core values which are vital to helping an individual feel accepted and better understand their own feelings - essentially helping them to reconnect with their inner values and sense of self-worth. These core values a counsellor should have are: • Congruence - the counsellor must be completely genuine. • Unconditional positive regard - the counsellor must be non-judgemental. • Empathy - the counsellor must strive to understand the client's point of view.
