soMEtime - make some time for YOU

soMEtime - make some time for YOU

soMEtime - make some time for YOU is verified Certificate of Excellence 2019

I'm a Sports Therapist and specialise in medical conditions and injuries, however I'm also qualified, along with several other treatments including Dry Needling, in Hot Stones, Aromatherapy, Indian Head and Thai Foot if relaxation is your desired outcome. I have my own Wellbeing Centre in the west end of Paisley and I don't have specific opening hours as I can be flexible to meet your needs. I charge for time rather than treatment, which allows you to choose a few different treatments within your session. I start any treatment with a remedial assessment, which is not included in your time, as this will determine the most appropriate and effective treatments for your issue. Other specialist services provided: Pregnancy Massage, Sports Taping, Baby Massage Instructor, Myofascial Release and Lymphatic Drainage

Health Rediscovered

Health Rediscovered

We opened in 2014 with the aim of providing a comfortable, safe sanctuary from daily life. Creating a space to help you relax and heal. The therapies on offer can be used to aid relaxation, improve your sense of well-being, in addition to alleviating specific conditions. We offer a wide variety of treatments including: Acupuncture: using very fine needles to treat a wide variety of conditions, including fertility, pain management, stress/anxiety & digestive complaints Cosmetic Acupuncture: All the benefits of ‘normal’ acupuncture with an anti-ageing focus Delux: addition of a bespoke face mask Cupping: creating a vacuum in a specialist cup: especially helpful for painful/tight muscles and for clearing infections Bowen Technique: consists of a series of rolling moves over muscle and connective tissue. By combining these moves the practitioner is able to address the body as a whole, or target a specific area. Simply put, the technique allows the body to reset and heal itself. Reflexology: A lovely, relaxing treatment involving massaging the feet, focusing on reflex points to help stimulate different parts of the body and alleviate any symptoms Thermo-Auricular Therapy: an ancient and natural treatment that is deeply soothing and relaxing, includes 2 sets of candles and a face and neck massage Natural Facial: using natural products to cleanse, tone and nourish the skin, combined with a delicious massage of face, neck and shoulders Reiki: a healing therapy that encourages the flow of energy through a person by using either ‘hands on or off’ approach. Reiki can help to reduce stress, increase relaxation, stimulate the immune system, alleviate pain and increase energy Massage This ancient therapy comes in many guises and therapists here are trained in 1 or more of the following: Aromatherapy: involves gentle massage combined with therapeutic essential oils. The specific blend is tailored to suit your needs Hara Massage: a specialised massage of the abdomen, useful for digestive and fertility issues, as well as being deeply restorative and relaxing Indian Head Massage: is very beneficial for anyone prone to headaches or migraines as it increases the blood flow & oxygen to the brain. This enables more nutrients to reach the scalp & encourages hair growth. This treatment also includes massaging the neck, shoulders, face, arms & upper back. Pregnancy Massage: A specialised and modified therapeutic treatment involving stretches, acupressure & oil based massage techniques to support your changing body throughout pregnancy (safe at any stage!) Swedish (therapeutic) massage: an invigorating & stimulating treatment that uses deeper pressure & can help reduce muscle tension. The pressure & areas of the body covered are tailored to your preference & need. Sports Massage: a deep tissue massage which aims to decrease muscle tension & improve flexibility of muscles and joints. It can be used a part of a training programme to help prevent injury & as part of a rehabilitation programme to treat injury, but can also be applied to muscular aches & pains experienced from everyday life, especially repetitive strain injuries. Shiatsu: a traditional Japanese meridian therapy massage, which stems from the same ancient oriental principles as acupuncture, but without needles! It can help with the management of a variety of conditions, from specific injuries through to more general symptoms of poor health Thai Yoga Massage: massage is a dynamic healing art involving massage techniques, gentle pressure and passive manipulations that resemble the asana stretches of yoga. It is a truly rewarding experience which leaves you more stretched, relaxed & in balance. The receiver wears loose clothing.

BioMonkey

BioMonkey

BioMonkey is verified Certificate of Excellence 2019

I offer energy healing sessions using a variety of energy healing methods I have trained in over several years. My favourite energy healing methods are based on Barbara Brennan (you can find out more about her in-depth energy healing approach through her book 'Hands of Light') and Bio-Energy Healing, but what I specifically use depends on your particular needs, as everyone is different. At the start of a session I usually ask you to lie down on my therapy table fully clothed, while I energetically connect various parts of your body to improve energy flow and gradually help you sink into a deep state of relaxation. You may feel various sensations of cold or tingling in your body, or fall asleep, or feel emotional. Whatever your response, I make sure you feel safely held as you are going through your own process. Once you are feeling completely safe, I start removing blockages from your energy field; these blockages often cause aches and pain, and general feelings of being ‘stuck’. I also use techniques designed to strengthen your energetic boundaries, so you become more grounded and centred in yourself rather than feeling anxious, stressed out, and at the mercy of outside influences. Throughout the session, I answer any questions you may have and help you gain insight into how you can use your unique energy system with greater ease and grace. I am also passionate about teaching, and often run small-group energy workshops in my healing space, focusing on various aspects relating to energy work and the way you can apply it for self-healing in a wide range of circumstances, eg. anxiety, stress, wanting to lose weight, emotional pain, relationship problems, feeling a need for spiritual connection etc. During healing sessions, I also teach clients simple self-healing tools, so they can gradually improve their ability to manage their own energy in-between sessions and beyond. My healing space is comfortable and welcoming, and I use it full-time, usually allowing plenty of time in-between my healing slot so clients don't feel rushed out of the door as soon as the healing is over. Also, I spend lots of time making sure the energy in that space is clean and of a high vibration, so it can contribute to a deeply healing experience; clients often comment on how healing the space itself feels, like an oasis of peace. It is located in Dalmarnock, about 10 minutes walk from the train station. For any questions relating to my services, please email me at alexa@biomonkey.co.uk or call me on 075 8301 3656.
