I absolutely love watching stories and friendships happening right before my eyes with all my lil munchkins. I love watching them get super excited when we find a new walk to explore. They really are easier to read than humans and they don't judge. Its amazing to watch them build immediate friendships with new hikers in our pack and quietly watch them grow from puppies (as most of my gang started as pups) to teenagers to adults... Although they act like kids when it's adventure time on our walks. :-) I adore my job and I honestly believe... As most folk will tell you too....that I was made to do this. There's a natural bond between myself and all my hikers that transparent when you see us all out walking. Come along and join us if you get a day off and see your pooch in action. I've always loved the outdoors. Anyone who knows me would find me up in hills during any free time that I had. Always with my furry best friend. Since she passed, exploring our surrounding countryside was never really the same. Always something missing. Working in an office was never the sense of adventure that I loved. My dad told me at 15yrs old....you should start your own dog walking business. You'd be fantastic at it. He was never wrong hehe....still isn't to this day. :-) I knew I had a natural ability around dogs and I always felt at home with any furry friend. The more boisterous.....the better for me. So I finally looked into it and asked other dog walkers how they started up. The general start up time was 4-6mths to fill up and was word of mouth. I designed my own Web site and fb page, got some flyers and got myself out there. Within 1 month....I was full. Word of mouth spread fast hehe. Folks seemed to really like the fact that their furry friends were getting adventure each day and not a standard round the park walk which is sometimes seven. Daily pics and updates were a winner too. 2yrs on and I still love getting up every morning....rain/hail/snow even the odd day of sunshine. As I look forward to seeing all my lil munchkins faces and can't stand the thought of them being cross legged if I wasn't to turn up that day. Appreciation costs nothing and these furbabies give it in bucketloads. :-) I adore my job and I'm so glad I took the plunge and started my own business up. Totally was made for this. :-)
As I've said previously... I love the fact that I'm 2yrs established and I still get excited every morning to see my lil gangs faces. Especially if I've found a new walk. They get so excited. Its a real sense of freedom watching them and all their little stories unfold. I'll turn up rain, snow or sunshine because I can't bare to think of them cross legged and not get out for a pee or to see their pals. Read my reviews on my website or fb page. Its not a job to me.... Its just an every day adventure that I get to share with man's best friend.
