The healing cottage

The healing cottage is a beautiful, calm and peaceful therapy studio at the bottom of my old 1800's cottage. The room is painted in a delicate calming lilac and the ground the room is on has healing properties alone. The window looks out to my garden and you will often see my cats wondering around the garden and playing in the flowers. Therapy at the Healing Cottage offers a peaceful, holistic and creative space for both talking therapy/ counselling and creative therpsy. My website heavily advertises the art therapy side of the business. But please don’t let this put you off. Many of my clients come to me for counselling and typical therapy. I work in a psychodynamic way. So we explore and discover the root of where your issue comes from and gently work through it together. My website is on this profile. Feel free to click it and contact me ☺️ I don’t always use bark so please feel free to find me on google and send me a message.

What do you love most about your job?

I love so many aspects of my job. It is my dream career and it never feels a chore to come to work. The thing I love the most is watching somebody transform before my eyes throughout their healing journey. My logo shows a butterfly flying out of a person's hands and this truly represents what I see happening in my therapy room. An anxious scared caterpillar hiding away from the world in her cacoon thinking life is over. And just like that she builds the strength to break from the cacoon and emerges as a beautiful butterfly, ready to discover the world at a different height. It is the most special and rewarding feeling in the world.

What inspired you to start your own business?

When I bought my cottage I recognised how special the out building at the bottom of the garden was and and the potential it had. I knew it would be a perfect place to offer therapy.

Why should our clients choose you?

It is important for the client to find the right person on their healing journey. If you are looking for somebody who has a calm, gentle and compassionate approach then I may be the right fit for you.
