Having used personal trainers at various corporate gyms over the years I was very impressed with his deep and wide ranging knowledge and his open, non-judgmental manner. After a few sessions I now look forward to exercising and learning how to work out for my own bodies needs with supportive encouragement that somehow manages to drive me on without feeling self conscious or too forced. Working in a mostly desk bound job the session with Iain have improved general mobility, strength, fitness and most importantly inspired a desire to exercise that was previously lacking! I offer both outdoor and indoor sessions. My outdoor sessions take place in Portobello. The indoor sessions are at the new Meadowbank Stadium gym and athletics track. My journey in sports and fitness has spanned many years and has crossed various genres. I was a county swimmer and have been heavily involved in a number of other sports, including rugby, squash, basketball and running. But most of all, I started Oxley Fitness because I know what it's like to be unhappy in your body and stuck in a rut. I wanted to help others learn about their bodies, fitness, nutrition and endurance, but most of all make the right choices for themselves.
My approach to training and nutrition will always follow a pragmatic, simple mindset. There are no shortcuts or one-size-fits-all ways of achieving our potential.
