Urban Therapy

I am a professional massage therapist, as well as a 4th-year student chiropractor and have been a therapist for 5 years. I previously worked in a chiropractic clinic as a self-employed massage therapist for 2 years before deciding to branch out on my own and create my own brand and business. I am a very professional and adept massage therapist, seeing upwards of 500 patients throughout my career, and have a passion for helping people especially when they are in pain. I have played Ice Hockey since I was 5 years old, with that came many injuries and sport-related stresses on my body to which I had to seek help from a massage therapist. I was a goalie throughout my hockey career and played at an elite level for many years. In 2016 I was the first goalie for Great Britain and represented our country in Austria that year. Since then i have been directing my focus on my studies and my future of becoming a chiropractor. When not playing ice hockey, I was a very sporty child. i would partake in football, Rugby -at college-, competitive swimming, volleyball, golf, horse riding, surfing, kayaking, sailing, and many more. I always loved playing for a team and believe this gave me vital lessons throughout my life that I will always carry with me throughout my career. At university, I then had the fortune of finding an incredible gym and finding my gym family in the amazing members of majestic. This opened up a lot of opportunities for me to enter the Bodybuilding world and finally competing in my first show in the wellness category in 2019. Being so active throughout my life, I am able to relate to a lot of people in the world, how their sports or jobs affect them psychologically and physically. I can biomechanically visualise sports or day to day activities that will be affecting my patients' posture, structure and causing pain. Not only do I come from a sporting background, however, I also have increased knowledge in orthopaedic and neurological structures through training to be a chiropractor. I will always refer you to a specialist if your complaint is not of a nature that massage therapy will help. I proudly work alongside other therapists to provide individual care best for each and every patient. Here ar urban therapy, we pride ourselves in our knowledge of sports, bodybuilding and anatomy, and are able to provide outstanding therapy second to none. We are not a spa, and we believe in helping the body heal, through deep tissue massage as well as stretching and manipulative stretches. We offer deep tissue therapy for sports injuries, maintenance massages, work injuries, progression injuries, as well as a more therapeutic style massage for those not wanting such a deep tissue massage. please visit our website at: http://urbantherapy.websites.looka.com/

What do you love most about your job?

I love being able to help those in need of pain relief

What inspired you to start your own business?

Playing ice hockey for so long, I had so many issues with my back. I saw an amazing massage therapist and instantly decided I wanted to be like her and be able to help other people like me who are in pain and need help in some way, even if I can't help 'myself' as such, I know how it feels to be in pain and not know what to do about it and just having to live with it. Knowing there is someone out there who can help you is just amazing!

Why should our clients choose you?

I am a kind, friendly, knowledgeable therapist with a bubbly personality and I will put you at ease instantly. I am very good at my job as I have put time, hard work and effort into being the best therapist I can be for my clients.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

No, unfortunately. Although plans to branch out into Southampton are underway!

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I aim to always keep your health as first priority. I have been vaccinated and continue to wear a mask throughout treatment. Cleaning between clients is of utmost importance to me and have always done so, this will never change. Clients are not required to wear a mask during treatment however should do so upon entering the clinic.
