Having just joined the Warehouse Health Club, Michelle did my induction and showed me about. She is extremely knowledgeable and showed all the endless possibilities that the equipment provides and makes it very inspiring. She noted down my weight and body fat and showed me where I was in the range and suggested to reduce my body % fat rather than focusing on the number on the scales. Just had my first PT session with Michelle tonight and although I am sore and exhausted but I now feel more motivated and eager to get in the best shape. She put me through a variety of exercises which targeted my legs, back and shoulders and knew when to push me. I definitely recommend Michelle as a PT if you want someone to motivate and educate you

I've had 12 sessions with Andrew and I've loved them all! Every week he's had me doing different things from crazy circuits to tabata sprints to an entire hour of abs as a trainer he is so encouraging and makes you want to push harder. I can't believe the results I've had and can't wait to start my next block. If you're looking for someone who's going to push you past what you thought your limits were and make you achieve things you never thought you could then I'd highly recommend him!

I train with Anastasia twice a week. I love what I see in the mirror and since I started exercising - I hear nice compliments about my figure more and more. I wouldn't be able to do it on my own, I need someone to motivate me and keep an eye on me to make sure I do the exercise correctly.
If you're ready for a change - then I highly recommend Body Appeal

Akos is an excellent, and patient, Personal Trainer! He has to be when dealing with me ;) I have to say that I have used other personal trainers in the past and whilst it has been useful to be given the training plans, I could have gotten those off the internet somewhere. Akos is giving me more than that. He is ensuring I have good technique and is pushing me more and as a result I am seeing more benefits. I started out with Akos about 14 weeks ago and I am currently at the start of my 2nd set of 10 sessions with him. In the beginning I had never really done that much strength training and originally signed up with him in order to get some guidance on two main points. The first was to lose some body fat and tone up a bit (I am now pleased to say I need a new wardrobe as my clothes are too loose :D) and the second was to stabilise my joints due to recurring injuries in my knees and ankles. I am happy to say that I feel a vast improvement on both, and he is clear with explaining the technique and is always positive in the feedback he gives (I am a firm believer in constructive criticism and that is exactly what you get!). Granted there are some days when I don’t really feel like training, but once I get going I always feel better afterwards – what more can you ask for? Over the last few weeks I have been on a 2 week detox diet that involves very little protein and fats (in order to help remove some allergens I have been recently diagnosed with). I found that my energy levels have been quite low and Akos has been brilliant! He adapted the training plan so that the work out is still challenging without sapping my energy levels which means I can still train and carry on with every day life. Another thing I have taken away from training with Akos is a new mentality to training. Whilst I had never really done traditional ‘cardio’ training before (I focussed mainly on things like TABATA – and still do) I now realise that adding weights (even if it is bodyweight training) is an essential component to losing body fat %. I am now using this knowledge passing it onto my own (martial art) students. So all in all the benefits have been great.

Great place to train, everyone makes u feel welcome and have achieved great results working with Josef. In 5wks have lost over 1stone, over 3 inches from both hips and waist and over 3% body fat. Great food advice, so I actually enjoy food more and am cooking again.
Can't wait to see where the next few weeks take me

I used this gym when on a business trip in Aberdeen and was very impressed. I paid £17 to use the club for a week which is excellent value for money considering the facilities. Every aspect of the club was well thought out and it appeals to a wide range of gym user from people who do classes only, treadmill bashers and body builders. The free weights area was especially good and there is plenty of room and equipment for functional training. The range of plate loaded machines and resistance machines was excellent and far better than many clubs you pay £60 a month to use. I'm surprised Pure Gym have set up so close to the Warehouse as they simply cannot compete. I used the sauna every evening I went there which was clean and a great way to finish a workout. The changing rooms are excellent and overall I felt very welcome using the place. The members seem very friendly as do the staff. I will certainly be back
Should I work out every day of the week?
It depends on your end goal. If you’re training for a marathon, you might work out nearly every day of the week. If you’re a low-level beginner, a minimum of three times a week is enough to make a noticeable impact. No matter what you’re working out for, everyone needs rest and recovery days. Without them, your muscles won’t be able to recuperate and grow strong, so remember to factor in some down-time, too!
Where can I have my personal training sessions?
Pretty much anywhere! The great thing about personal training is that it’s flexible - as long as you have the necessary equipment, you and your instructor can decide to have your sessions from the gym, your home, the park, or even your office if you want to!
Does my fitness instructor need to know anything about me?
Yes! First of all, they will chat with you about your goals, and discuss the best way to achieve them. They should also ask you to fill in a consent form to check that you don’t have any pre-existing health conditions that could impact your exercise. They’ll also carry out a health assessment to get a better idea of your current fitness level, tailoring your workout plan around that.
What does a standard personal training session involve?
It's tricky to say, as personal training sessions vary significantly depending on what you want to achieve and the type of workout. Generally, one personal training session tends to last forty-five minutes to one hour. It will start with a gentle warm-up, followed by the nitty-gritty of the actual workout, with stretches to end the session. Remember, warming up and stretching is essential for injury prevention - it’s just as important as the main part of the workout!
What qualifications should a personal trainer have?
A personal trainer needs to be clued up on all aspects of fitness, from the most effective exercise techniques to nutrition and human anatomy- that’s a lot of responsibility! You need to make sure your professional is suitably qualified for the job. After all, you shouldn’t cut corners when it comes to investing in your health. Make sure your trainer has the minimum qualifications required to practice. In the UK, this is the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.
Can I get a Personal Trainer online?
Absolutely! Online personal training has become increasingly popular as more people are looking to maintain their fitness during lockdowns and gyms closing. As long as you and your personal trainer have a strong internet connection and a device to stream on like a laptop, tablet or smartphone, there's no reason why your session can't be delivered remotely.
