Established in 2016 in memory of a dearly loved Mother and Grandmother Norma, to both Jennifer and John Ashe respectively, Jennifer Ashe and Son Funeral Directors has gone from strength to strength, supporting and caring for families across the West Midlands and Staffordshire during the difficult times of bereavement. As a family we know and understand what the loss of a loved one feels like, we are here to help and support you as much as you need us. John Ashe and his dedicated team of professionals can be reached 24/7 in order to support your family at the time of need, which has contributed to the achievement of winning the ‘Best of Three – Walsall’ award for ‘Funeral Directors’ for the last 5 consecutive years, since the company’s conception. Our professional team are able to help arrange burials and cremations including direct cremations if preferred. We have a range of funeral packages to fit every budget and can organise bespoke options for more personalised services.

What do you love most about your job?

I first became involved in the the funeral profession when I was 13, since then I think the best part of my job is being able to make a difference to a family at a time they need the help and support the most. To be able to take the pressure off them of making funeral arrangements and allow them the time to grieve.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Having lost my Grandmother in 2016 I wanted to establish my own funeral home allowing me the ability to do things 'my way' and to 'my standard' without having a corporate company always trying to make cut backs and cut corners. Setting up a funeral home allowed me to use my experience from losing my Grandmother and turn it into a positive one and a lasting memorial to her.

We are multi award winning funeral directors, we have several branches and a large number of staff within, this allows for every detail that families need and require to be fulfilled. We have an excellent reputation within our local communities and although we don't believe in charging a huge amount for the funerals we provide our competitively priced packages do not skimp of quality or service

We can do both, some families wish to make arrangements in person and some families wish to make arrangements over the phone, email or zoom. Whatever your wishes, we are here to help, support and guide.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

During covid we committed to adhering to all covid regulations, since these have lifted so have our restraints, that said should families have any specific requests, such as us wearing masks or socially distancing during arrangements we are of course here to adhere to your requests.
