What do you love most about your job?
Zengi Limited started life as a management consultancy, which although attracted a lot of client interest it was not what made me tick. So, over the last 12 months it has evolved to provide "people" with a means of achieving their goals, but not any goal, but a goal where they could escape the grind and turn their lives from good to great.
This new business model is now perfectly matched to my lifestyle, it allows me to work with people and their dreams for a better life, rather than a focus on just making money.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having semi-retired in 2005 and then lived in Turkey for many years prior to 2012 I found that what inspired me most was helping other people achieve a better life. In 2012, I returned to the UK and founded a charitable community project called Creating Chapters. The primary aim being to help disadvantaged youngsters understand and realise their potential, using media as a platform for them to explore what they were capable of.
With three years of successfully helping mostly young men stay out of prison, I decided that rather than chase funding to support Creating Chapters, I would start a business and due to my career experience a management consultancy business seemed to be the natural choice. However, after just 12 months working with people whose sole interest was more money and whose primary problem was lack of planning, I realised that the motivation was not aligned with my lifestyle nor my personal goals.
Fortunately, semi retirement meant that I could take some time out from the business and re-align my thinking. So , with a well crafted plan Zengi was redefined with a focus on providing life enhancing services to my clients. I no longer work with delinquent young men (largely due to changes in the local community), I now spend my days helping people from all walks of life, achieve their life changing dream.

Buying a property is considered one of the most stressful things in life and buying abroad can be even more stressful. In the UK we largely know what's involved in the house buying process and our high streets are littered with agencies that are there to help. Typically people take 2 or more years to decide, plan and to buy abroad, yet many fall foul and either buy the wrong property or lose large sums of money along the way and are unable to complete their purchase successfully. At Zengi we are here to do the leg work, to make sure all the i's are dotted and all the t's are crossed. As your buying abroad concierge we are here to help you worry less when buying abroad, and to help you avoid the pitfalls, scams and nightmares that are all too common for many that go it alone.
